We are looking for a DBA DataBase Administrator (System and Application) to join the team of one of our most important clients
This DBA role looks after the health of the RDBMS environment, performs BAR functions, administers users and access rights, handles configuration management (change requests), conducts performance tuning exercises, and handles capacity planning.
The role is charged with the security, integrity, and protection of the RDBMS the environment.
Also looks after the data architecture, data models, and the Physical Data Model in the RDBMS environment. The primary functions are application SQL support, handling of performance tuning, and active participation in the design of views, materialized views, and indices to support the application's needs.
This role would be in charge of tasks such as :
- Manage the Postgres RDBMS environment.
- Perform Backup and Restore work.
- Administer Databases, Schemas, Users, Roles, Access Rights.
- Perform Configuration Management work (implement new or manage changes to RDBMS artifacts).
- Conduct performance tuning work on SQL requests.
- Conduct Capacity Planning.
- Support Application Developers with SQL work (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, SELECT).
- Conduct performance tuning work on SQL Requests.
- Design of Materialized Views and Indices.
- Troubleshoot SQL requests / Mentor developers on SQL writing" .
