Hi there! We are Jules and our client is looking for a Retention Specialist!

​​​​​​​About The Position
The Director of Retention will be responsible for all retention/lifecycle marketing
initiatives. This includes full ownership of channels like (but not limited to): email, SMS,
loyalty programs, referral programs, postcard marketing, transformation challenges,
etc., with emphasis on maximizing customer LTV (Lifetime Value) and retention rates.

This role requires a mix of strategic planning, critical thinking, and the ability to execute and assess the
performance of individual retention programs. The ideal candidate will have experience
in both the tactical and strategic elements of customer retention.

Job Responsibilities
- Full ownership of driving and maximizing customer LTV and all related metrics (repurchase rate, margin, units per transaction, average order value, time to second order, etc.).
- Manage and oversee all aspects of retention channels. This includes but is not limited to: calendar planning, automation strategy, customer journey optimization, building and deploying campaigns, etc.
- Track, analyze, and report on all key customer and business KPIs.
- Consistently build out a robust marketing campaign calendar using all marketing channels at your disposal.
- Optimize existing CRM automation and identify opportunities for new automations based on gaps in the customer lifecycle.
- Partner with acquisition and design teams to develop effective, integrated cross-channel campaigns.
- Aggregate and mine customer profiles, preferences, and purchases across all available databases to improve targeting and segmentation.
- Deploy strategies for growing our email and SMS list.
- Implement a testing roadmap and strategy.

Job Requirements
- Deep retention marketing experience (email, SMS, etc.) with DTC ( Direct-to-Consumer) brands
- Ideal candidate has experience with Klaviyo, Attentive, Sendlane, and Shopify Plus
- Thorough knowledge of database analytic tools and CRM technology.
- Knowledge of email/SMS best practices including targeted lists, deliverability and CAN-SPAM/anti-spam legislation.
- Prior experience in direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce businesses.
- Preferred candidate is adaptable, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and has a strategic mindset
- Experience with Figma, Photoshop, or similar design tools is a plus, but not required.
