Your main activities and responsibilities

As a Solution Architect, you will lead and coordinate architectural work within a cross-functional agile team. You will collaborate with different teams in the delivery portfolio for Volvo Commercial Solutions in Latin America, helping to define and develop the strategic and tactical direction for the system architecture. As part of a global unit, you will actively cooperate with various stakeholders with ease in a multi-cultural environment.You will be involved in designing and maintaining the architecture views, models, and target architecture for the solutions and drive the work to identify and reduce the technical debt. You will also take the leading role on the Architecture governance, secure approvals and make sure that the design follows Volvo standards.You will stay up-to date in architectural trends & relevant industry models and work close to both developers and system analysts in the team.

5. Proficient in Solution and Service Oriented Design, and experience in at least one architecture diagram tool (for example: Draw.IO, Enterprise Architect, Visio)

Preferred skills

1. Container service experience (for example: Docker, Openshift, Kubernetes)
2. Hands-on experience in at least one major public cloud provider (Azure, AWS or GCP)
3. Architecture Governance and Business Architecture

Desired skills

1. Microsoft Azure application services experience (APIM, Functions, App Service, FrontDoor,Key Vault, etc)
2. Synchronous and Asynchronous Integration Platforms, IBM MQ, Service Bus, Apache kafka
3. JS frontend framework experience (React, Angular, Polymer)
4. Azure DevOps YAML pipelines
5. Knowledge on security scanning tools (for example: SonarQube, Blackduck, Fortify, etc). Architecture Governance and Business Architecture

Background

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Computer science or equivalent
A passion for IT
Solid work experience within Solution Architecture
Advanced English skills (Written & Spoken)
