We are seeking an entry level designer to join our design team. Our products include shower curtains, curtain hooks, counter accessories, and bath rugs. Candidates should have a Bachelor Degree in Design or a related area with an interest in home fashion.
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Textile Design, or related fieldMinimum 2 years of product design work experience in Home categories.
Technical Knowledge & Hard SkillsFamiliarity working with common printed textile substrates: microfiber, polyester weaves, and cotton blends.Familiarity and basic technical knowledge of textiles, fabrications, construction, printing and manufacturing techniques.Familiarity with and basic technical knowledge of hard goods substrates – plastic, ceramic, stoneware, poly resin, glass – and manufacturing techniques.Must be skilled at color reduction and cleaning indexed artworks.Must be skilled at CAD, creating colorways, renderings and product mockups.Must be skilled at creating and manipulating print/pattern artwork.Thorough understanding of the development process cycle from concept through launch.Highly developed taste level and sense of color.Understanding of the Home Space landscape, & overall design trends.Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment.Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adapt to change.Ability to successfully and efficiently manage workload.Extremely organized and highly detail-oriented – excellent calendar adherence and ownership.Excellent time management skills.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and refine design concepts for a variety of home goods packaging, including labels, boxes, hangtags, and gift wrap designsCreate comprehensive technical drawings and specifications for packaging production, ensuring adherence to industry standards and quality requirementsConduct color reduction and optimization for packaging designs, considering cost-effectiveness, print compatibility, and brand consistencyCollaborate with marketing and product teams to understand project requirements and ensure designs align with brand guidelines and marketing strategiesManage packaging design projects from concept to production, coordinating with vendors, printers, and internal stakeholders.
