The Accounting Team Leader is responsible for providing the Leadership and progression of all the members of the Accounting Team in a Shared Service Environment. In this capacity he/she is also responsible for ensuring that all the In-Scope Accounting activities as detailed within the Accounting Statement of Work as agreed between customer entity from the Group and the captive shared service center are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Overall Responsibility for the correctness of the reported financial data in accordance with Eviden Financial Reporting Guidelines (IFRS) and assurance that payments taxes and social contribution are made on time
- Coordination, performance of and participation in Internal and External audits
- Preparation of the adjusted Financial Statements (e.g. for banks)
- Preparation and performance of Month end, Quarter end and Annual Closing activities including the preparation and provision of supporting Audit documentation
- Senior contact and escalation point with Group Accounting and other Internal finance Stakeholders as regards day to day activities pertaining to new finance and or IT requirements
- Acts as a subject matter expert within Accounting as the final line of escalation for queries related to all accounting processes
- Provides accounting advice and guidance to other Eviden departments (e.g. order processing, controlling)
- As part of general operations monitoring and ensuring that internal process controls are in place and followed
- Succession planning for the team; recruiting and developing team members and successfully inducting them into the organisation;
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting
- ACCA/CIMA certification or equivalent knowledge
- SAP, MS Office (advanced Excel skills)
- At the least 3 years of Leadership and Management experience
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Excellent Networking and Communication Skills
- Proficient English Language Skills
