SalárioThe Team: We are currently looking for a Bioenergy specialist to join S&P Global Commodity Insights' dynamic Bioenergy Research, to help drive biogas and biomass research data and research globally. The Biofuels Analytics team is part of the Agribusiness & Commodities division at S&P Global Commodity Insights. This team is responsible for generating insights of the biofuels market globally and for creating short and long-term views on biofuels supply, demand and pricing. The agribusiness group offers data and research solutions on major crops and food commodities, fertilizers, biofuels, crop science and animal health.

The Role: We are seeking a Bioenergy specialist able to develop and drive research and insights in biogas and biomass globally to support our customer base on decarbonization strategies to successfully transition into sustainable fuel. These include researching, gathering data and developing insights on current market trends, regulatory frameworks, risks and opportunities for the industry. Over the past few years, the biofuels industry has seen tremendous growth amid increasing efforts to decarbonize the energy sector. The focus on sustainability and innovation is supporting the expansion into making better use of waste streams that can reduce carbon footprint and generate additional revenue.

- Take a leading role in coordinating, research and creating analytical content for the biogas and biomass markets globally
- Create, manage and maintain and enhance supply and demand, pricing and other pertinent models and databases
- Act as a subject matter expert for these markets, contributing to a wide range of S&P Global Commodity Insights publications
- Develop and deliver presentations and thought leadership on topics around Bioenergy in biofuels
- Create charts, graphs, maps and other visual content that illustrates the trends customers need to follow.
- Engage with customers and potential customers, demonstrating expertise and acting as ambassador for S&P Global pursuit of analytical excellence
- Five years market related experience. Additional experience in other markets, e.g., energy, agricultural commodities, refined products, would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills which include a concise written style, excellent verbal and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate across a wide range of groups and personalities internally and externally.
- Experience in modelling, forecasting and quantitative analysis would be advantageous.
- BA Degree in relevant field e.g., Economics, Business, International Affairs, Statistics preferred
- Innovative thinking and proactive behavior, able to work effectively and efficiently within a flexible global team environment
