JOB SUMMARY 

The Associate Director of Organization Developmentis a member of the Organization Effectiveness& Change (OEC)team within the Enterprise Transformation Office and serves as an internal OD expert. This role consults on and/or leads key strategic initiatives in partnership with business executives, Learning & Development, and HR Business Partners in the areas of organization analysis, Organization Design and team effectiveness.  

  • Serves as a subject matter expert in organizational development, using industry principles and best practices. 

  • Supports the business through consultation, design, and deployment of innovative OD solutions. 

  • Partners with HRBPs and business stakeholders to define their needs and develop creative solutions in support of business goals. 

  • Leverages establishedteam effectiveness toolkit to evaluate needs, recommend solutions and facilitate, or support HRBPs in facilitating, team effectiveness sessions with leadership teams and cross-functional workgroups 

  • Determinesappropriate analysis techniques and leads completion of analyses related to organizational structures, responsibilities, reporting relationships and work processes to determine business unit structures and/or programs that need to be changed and/or implemented to increase organizational effectiveness and meet business goals. 

  • Synthesizes results into briefings and reports with recommendations for review by HR and Business Unit leadership. Breaks down recommendations into specific projects with defined objectives. 

  • Leads Organization Design projects, from developing conceptual design options through detailed design and implementation planning. 

  • In partnership with OE colleagues, develops and delivers train-the-trainer sessions to broaden OD capabilities across the HR organization. 

  • Consults on managing change and incorporates change management principles and tactics in the design and implementation of OD solutions. 

  • Manages a portfolio of complex initiatives that span multiple lines of business. 

  • Understands interdependencies within an organization and accounts for them in plans and recommendations. 

  • Works creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence. 

  • Provides status reporting regarding defined milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues. 

  • Participates and/or drives feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders. 

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred 

  • 8-10 years’ experience in progressive OD roles 

  • Expert knowledge of organizational and cultural awareness 

  • Expert ability to extract insights from data with demonstrated analytical mind set 

  • Expert ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in both verbal and written form across all levels of the organization 

  • Expert ability to use facts, expertise and persuasive techniques to influence others, particularly senior leaders 

  • Expert ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects 

  • Expert ability to adapt style and use persuasion in delivering messages. Develops recommendations to sell ideas or services. Frequently advises others on complex matters. 

  • Expert ability to adapt style and collaborate effectively to get things done in a dynamic matrix environment 

  • Strong business acumen 

  • Proven track record in managing organizational development projects, ideally in a global environment, with both local and geographically dispersed teams 

  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office
