Design solutions to drive safe living and quality of life

As a Bilingual Building Automation Designer here at Honeywell, you'll be at the forefront of the success of our automated building control solutions. You'll play a crucial role by providing technical expertise and support to our clients, helping them design and implement automated control systems for buildings and contribute to the successful delivery of a new multi-million dollar project and the overall growth of our business.

You'll report directly to our project manager and work from our Montreal office, following a hybrid work schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement building regulation systems including digital regulation system sequences, create regulation diagrams, and size valves and dampers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions for Building Automation projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to stakeholders in the field of automated building controls.
  • Review project plans and specifications, collected information, sales sketches, estimates.
  • Prepare submissions according to engineering standards, ensure commitment dates are met, and obtain approval for proposed materials.
  • Provide technical assistance to the sales team for analysis and interpretation of work documents and code requirements during the bidding and estimation phase.
  • Program software algorithms for Building Automation systems.
  • Assist electricians and technicians during installation and commissioning phases.
  • Stay updated on trends and technologies in the automated building controls industry.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, college diploma, or technical diploma in automation (or another relevant field)
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English, written and spoken
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in application engineering, specifically in the design of automated building controls/HVAC
  • Experience with Autocad software
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
