Job Dimensions:

This is a leadership role in one the key growth initiatives at Arkema.  It will lead the NA organization through a significant investment by validating the market, leading the sales and development team to sustainable growth targets and integrate the current team into a larger organization tied to NA manufacturing.

 

Position can be located in either King of Prussia, PA, or Houston TX. 

 

  • Two account managers report to this position.  
  • Maintains close alignment with Logistics and Field Services Manager.
  • Sets strategic goals for a sustainable market position.
  • Responsible for leading the business with strong financial acumen for P&L management and commercial excellence through strategic account management, leadership of the sales team, and targeted market growth opportunities.
  • Maintain executive level customer relationships and lead the sales team to growth within the segment.
  • Expert understanding of the customer’s needs in the Refinery, Petrochemical and Renewable Energy markets and the ability to translate it into an internal and external executive level messaging.
  • Is a leader in Digitalization and efforts to expand service offerings utilizing digital techniques, analysis, and reporting.
  • Develops business objectives that drives project and logistics planning into the teams to optimize resources, both people and equipment.
  • Manages forecasts for short and long term financial and supply chain views.
  • Develops annual budgets to the EBITDA level.
  • Establishes and communicates the 3-to-5-year strategic views.

 

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

Sales & Development Leadership (40%)

  • Introduces and shares market best practices to sales teams (in the areas of technical sales strategies, sales operations, technology, reporting and analytics).
  • Responsible for understanding customer and competitive dynamics.
  • Develop, prioritize, and support sales team in best practices for strategic selling.
  • Grow opportunity pipeline, document in sales force, and communicate through presentations at regular frequencies.
  • Establish target opportunities from data mining leads, set priorities for sales team to develop leads, and collaborate with business development organization.

 

Leadership and Strategy (60%)

  • Own the P&L. Deliver annual budgeted financial results, including Volume, Revenue, Structural Cost, EBITDA, and WC targets.
  • Develop and maintain account plans, customer retention, managing working capital, credit, and customer satisfaction for the service business.
  • Optimizes workforce planning, with a focus on optimal customer coverage for both service teams and equipment.
  • Achieve all standards for customers in the areas of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Works closely with the Supply Chain team and participates in S&OP meeting to ensure availability and timely supply of products to customers
  • Monthly business reporting
  • Develops budget to the EBITDA level, present proposals to senior leadership.

 

Required Education/Qualification/Job Experience:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, technical field preferred. MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in sales, marketing, and business-related functions
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and Global environment
  • Experience in Oil and Gas and Petrochem markets
  • Prior P&L responsibility
  • Proficiency in the following sales and marketing competencies: customer relationship management, pricing, negotiation and contract management, market intelligence gathering and marketing communications.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to successfully interact with and influence other functions: regional sales and operations, R&D, Supply Chain, Logistics.
  • Good interpersonal, presentation and writing/communication skills
  • SAP and Salesforce.com experience preferred, knowledge of Powerpoint, Excel and Word is mandatory.

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills in large multi-year contracts
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong team player, capable of working across multiple functions
