About the job

Are you looking for an opportunity that secures financial compliance for internal, local, tax and other regulatory matters? We are looking for a Chief Accountant who will develop, implement, and monitor financial and reporting ways of working, deadlines, accuracy of financial accounting and reporting, and all financial information supporting the business. They will also be the primary contact for all external finance partners and local tax authorities.

About the assignment
As a Chief Accountant you will:

  • Local responsible for tax and accounting, compliance to local regulations and Inter IKEA rules and guidelines, including accounting chapters of Inter IKEA Financial Manual.
  • Responsible that all applications and processes are adequate, in place, documented and implemented (like cash flow management, fixed asset management, internal controls, etc.).
  • Responsible for legal (tax & statutory) and Inter IKEA reporting. Including transfer pricing and other periodic tax & statutory filing required under local law.
  • Manage all tax and regulatory compliance issues, ensuring the organization is kept up to date with any changes. To be the primary contact for the external finance partners and to the local tax authority (e.g. in case of tax audit) and responsible for statutory audit including review and follow-up on audit findings and recommendations.
  • Consistently looking for way to optimize Inter IKEA cost frame and tax effectiveness and sufficient funds for the operation.
  • Develop, monitor and ensure adequate internal controls are in place, documented and implemented for all transactions, such as payment, receipt, purchase, evaluation of service providers, asset disposal procedure, authorization matrix etc. Secure the existence of 4 eyes principle in all areas.
  • Representing PLSO in Group Accounting Forums and for coordination of related initiates on a local level.
  • At any time, act as an ambassador of Inter IKEA values and Role Model for Fact-based Business leadership and contribute to the global BNFA agenda and projects.
Qualifications

About you

  • University Degree in Accounting.
  • Fluent in local language and English.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial processes and general accounting procedures.
  • Good knowledge of tax and other legal finance regulations.
  • Excellent MS office skills and knowledge of accounting and reporting systems.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good in organizing tasks and willing to take responsibility.
  • Knowledge of controlling, budgeting and reporting and needed tools (for FC tasks).
  • At least 5 years or more of experience in accounting/reporting.
