Claims Associate

About the Role
As a Claims Associate, you will investigate and submit insurance claims that occur in connection with the Uber app for compensation. You will also work in collaboration with our third-party insurance partners with a focus on prompt routing of claims. This role reports to our senior claims Manager in São Paulo. What You'll Do

• Investigate and submit new claims to insurance carriers by reviewing first reports of incidents and supporting materials to properly identify insurance exposure and determine applicable insurance policies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking while adhering to established claims processes.
• Accurately respond to inquiries received from insurance carriers and other third parties.
• Demonstrate customer obsession when communicating with claimants, drivers, passengers, etc.
• Follow claims handling and maintain reports on metrics and KPI compliance.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to learn and apply insurance policies and procedures.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to provide information clearly and concisely and to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
• Extraordinary attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain quality in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
• A high degree of adaptability to meet changing business needs.
• Proficient in multi-tasking through various technology platforms.
• Fluent in English. Conversational level
• Spreadsheets proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or equivalent experience in claims investigation and/or insurance policies.
• Basic statistics/metrics and/or data analysis proficiency is a plus.
