We are now looking for a Commissioning Technician to join in our Project team in Itajaí/SC, Brazil. In this position, you will report to the General Manager, Systems in Wärtsilä, and also to the Project Manager.

Main responsibilities:
- Commissioning of the products, systems and equipment as per Wärtsilä’s scope of work at the yard
- Problem fixing during the commissioning phase in cooperation with the site team and engineering
- Fault finding and fault solving on site - Documentation of the delivery status of all systems
- Fault analysis regarding the required spare parts and required actions
- Training of the ship's crew as necessary
- Handover of the equipment to the class and ship owner
- Execution of special works and service tasks on sites/ships as requested / necessary
- Ensure the time lines requirements after program delivery, joining the service department or next newbuilding project
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Completed technical electrical course
- Professional register
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering in course will be an advantage
- Familiar with relevant codes and standards
- Understanding of commissioning practices
- Working experience in similar tasks preferred
- Shipyard experience
Skills:
- Good communication
- Willingness to learn and adapt new technologies
- Ability to adjust to a wide range of conditions and cultural environment
- Intermediate English is a plus
