An exciting opportunity to join the Compliance team in JB Brazil, covering different compliance related topics, with strong focus on governance, policies, controls, operational incidents and product compliance.YOUR CHALLENGE
- Test compliance with global and local policies and regulations in order to actively manage operational, regulatory and reputational risks
- Manage Global Minimum Controls, establishing adequate local key controls suitable for the wealth management business in Brazil and communicating to the Julius Baer Group
- Support the team in managing the required Global Minimum Standards, and on establishing Policy Governance communicating with Julius Baer Group
- Support performance of Due Diligence on new providers and provide Compliance input for the approval of new products
- Ensure proper investigation, escalation and implementation of corrective action plans and deadlines for regularization of operational errors
- Perform internal compliance surveillance as per global and local policies and guidelines in order to ensure adherence to regulatory and group requirements and standards
- Research and interpret applicable laws and regulations of wealth management market in order to guarantee proper implementation or perform gap analysis
- Provide support related to audits, reviews, and examinations
- Support internal Compliance projects for regulatory topics
- Be a great partner, collaborating in a productive, professional way with the compliance management teams and the business leaders
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law or related field;
- Experience working in Compliance, Risk, Audit or Control capacity in banking or financial services field (wealth management experience strongly preferred);
- Strong knowledge of regulation applicable to wealth management and portfolio management industries;
- Excellent command of Portuguese and English (written and spoken);
- Analytical skills;
- Excellent communication skills and experience interacting with individuals at many levels of a global organization; and working effectively with senior management;
- Strong sense of integrity and discretion;
- A positive, forward-thinking personality and can-do attitude with a dedicated interest towards regulations compliance and risk topics
