The Role: Senior Sales Specialist – Latin America The Team: This is an exciting opportunity to join the Credit and Risk Solutions Sales Team, a focused and dynamic team with the opportunity to build on the last few years of significant growth and product development within the C&RS Business. The Impact: The C&RS business has a strategic plan to be a $1B business globally by 2026 and is a significant contributor to the overall growth of the Market Intelligence (MI) Division. The product suite is a critical piece of this growth story as the distribution channel for Ratings proprietary content and a provider of models and workflow tools to underpin the Credit Workflow for rated and unrated borrowers, counterparties, customers and suppliers. C&RS has senior executive commitment to invest where needed to fuel these growth expectations. We are at the forefront of solving new challenges for clients as the market and regulatory landscape continues to change. For example: Understanding Counterparty Credit Risk, in particular in the aftermath of recent Bank collapses in the US and Europe. Helping clients establish robust frameworks for integrating ESG factors into their Credit Assessment frameworks and understanding the potential impact of ESG on their credit portfolios RatingsDirect’s rich and timely research helps customers understand the potential impact of current global phenomenon's such as inflation and regional conflicts on credit markets Many rely on historical ratings performance in times of economic turmoil to feed into future scenario modeling Credit Analytics and ProSpread underpin large global corporations moving toward customer and supplier credit assessment workflow automation What’s in it for you: This is a critical role in the C&RS Sales organization. As a Senior Sales Specialists you will be part of a dynamic team demonstrating the growth potential of the C&RS suite with dedicated sales focus in the Latin America Region. You will be an important voice of the customer with input into product and commercial strategy and as such will have senior leadership exposure in strategy and planning sessions. As the C&RS business grows, there will be opportunities for growth as a Senior Sales Specialist. The complimentary nature of C&RS products with other solutions across MI, means you will have opportunities to build relationships with stakeholders across the MI division and across S&P Global. Responsibilities: As a Sales Specialist in the Latin America Region you will be responsible for renewing and growing the Credit Solutions (CS) business – a suite of Ratings content products and solutions including RatingsDirect, RatingsXpress, CreditPro and LEVELS, as well as the Credit Analytics (CA) business – a suite of models, Scorecards and credit workflow tools and services. You will be selling to both Greenfield, or existing clients, and new C&RS logos. Within your territory you will have exposure and responsibility to interact with prospects and clients across commercial segments including Investment Managers, Investment Banks, Private Equity firms, Commercial Banks, Insurance Companies and Corporations, demonstrating how the C&RS suite can underpin their Credit and other workflows. The C&RS Sales Specialist are supported by a team of Pre Sales Engineers to provide deep subject matter expertise to support renewal and new business conversations, as well as other stakeholders including Credit Customer Success, Prospecting, Marketing and Client Services. Specific Responsibilities of a Senior Sales Specialist for the LatAm region will include: Meet individual growth goal / quota which can be achieved through: Renewing and growing a book of existing CS and CA relationships Selling CS and CA to C&RS white space clients (i.e. those with no existing relationship with the C&RS Business) Achieving renewal rate goal for the existing book Build and execute on book of business/territory strategy and identify opportunities for growth and expansion Mentor junior C&RS Sales Specialists in region. Build strong connection with other C&RS stakeholders in region (e.g. C&RS Prospecting, credit customer success, and credit client services) Be an internal ambassador in region for C&RS across Business Units and divisions, collaborating closely with the Account Managers and Desktop Sales Specialists covering LatAm. Drive and track cross Business Unit, Cross Divisional and Synergy referrals and campaigns in region. Build relationship with local regulatory bodies to understand regulatory landscape and how the C&RS suite can meet regulatory needs in region Adopt structured and disciplined approach to tracking activity, pipeline accuracy and forecasting Embrace a customer focused, diagnostic selling approach Partner closely with other internal stakeholders, such as Product Management, Market Development, Legal and Client Support teams. What We’re Looking For: The C&RS sales organization values partnership, relationships and communication. It is crucial that you model these attributes. In addition, we are looking for: A strong commercial mindset with prior experience selling to, speaking to, or interacting with credit personas, preferably in Latin America markets An understanding of fixed income / credit markets gained via experience at a financial institution, asset manager or financial data / technology firm; Strong communication, organization, presentation, and negotiation skills. Confidence in meetings, presentations and dealing with senior executives and decision makers remotely or in person Creative thinking and problem solving to drive solutions that address client needs with the C&RS suite of solutions Bachelors or Master degree in a relevant discipline, Five + years relevant experience Spanish and Portuguese fluency Flexible Working We pride ourselves on our agility and diversity, and we welcome requests to work flexibly.
