Location: Brazil (hybrid)

Kalypso is seeking exceptional candidates who are looking for an exciting career as a DATA SCIENCE SENIOR ANALYST – MACHINE VISION who are passionate about the exciting world of digital technologies, including the Internet of Things, Big Data, Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

As a Data Science Senior Analyst focused on machine vision, you will help your clients apply leading data analysis and computer vision techniques to challenging business problems, all while becoming proficient in the most highly valued technological skillset in the global marketplace. Our work is fast paced, demanding, and provides unparalleled exposure to unique opportunities. The learning curve can be quite steep, but our team will help you to build confidence and enable you to explore areas that are of interest to you. Our focus is on helping clients extract business value from cutting edge technical capabilities, not just making the technology work. In this role, you will help design, develop, and test solutions for a diverse set of clients in industries such as Manufacturing, High Tech, Life Sciences, Consumer Goods, and Retail.

Responsibilities:

· Create machine vision models supporting Kalypso’s digital solutions across Manufacturing, High Tech, Life Sciences, Consumer Goods and retail industries. Example model themes:

o Object detection and classification.

o Object Segmentation

o Optical Character Recognition

o 3D point cloud-based metrology.

o Quality control and inspection.

o Vision integration into feedback driven manufacturing control

o Manufacturing Environment Monitoring

· Implement computer vision algorithms and tailor them to project needs .

· Benchmark model performance and drive model evaluation .

· Provide input to application design and model selection .

· Build scalable tools to process large volumes of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data using on-prem, cloud and hybrid technologies – for our pre-configured solutions or on a per-project basis.

· Design and implement machine vision specific data management strategies (ingest, process, store).

o Develop and deploy image-specific pre-processing pipelines that allow prepare vision artifacts for training and inference .

o Leverage MLOps leading practices to continually evaluate, improve, and deploy incrementally more capable models.

· Interact with internal and external stakeholders to understand their concerns and actively participate in solution design and build. Work with Solution Architects to provide input to solution design, providing a Data Science point of view.

· Be curious and constantly learn something new to stay on top of relevant technologies.

· Demonstrate versatility, flexibility, and proactivity when resolving technical issues and dealing with ambiguity.

· Understand the business requirements and the process of translating them into well-engineered and integrated technical solutions; have attention to detail.

· Show commitment to quality and on-schedule delivery; proven ability to establish and meet milestones and deadline.

· Be client-focused to understand and appropriately respond to client business needs.

· Demonstrate the ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, and management to help develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in.

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

· Legal Authorization to work in Brazil is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

· Willingness to travel international and domestic up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative field.

· 3-4+ years of relevant work experience.

· Proficiency with Machine Learning model development, training, validation and application.

· Proficiency in mathematical disciplines including linear algebra, calculus, probabilistic models, and statistics.

· Data manipulation techniques, including ETL/ETLV.

· Experience with Data Science and computer vision.

· Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

· Familiarity with leading computer vision libraries (OpenCV, scikit-image, etc.)

· Experience with data visualization and platforms such as D3.js, Tableau, Kibana, HTML5 and CSS

· Competency with Graph/NoSQL database techniques and RDBS platforms like Oracle and MS SQL Server.

· Proficiency with SQL.

· Experience using and developing RESTful and SOAP Web Services.

· General knowledge of software development and technical documentation (requirements, functional specifications, test plans, etc.).

· Superior analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Effective interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.

· Experience working a team-oriented, collaborative environment with flexibility and a deep commitment to client service.

· Creativity, self-confidence, and flexibility.
