Developer
Responsible for developing software applications solutions for organization’s external and internal clients. Developers may be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Developer’s work with clients, product managers analysts, architects and engineers to plan, design, develop, test and implement information technology solutions consistent with the business objective. Developers may develop and review requirements, create design documents, write programs, package, test, configure and deploy software. Developers also participate and collaborate with other stakeholder including security, quality assurance, training, project management, engineering, hosting, & procurement when required to assist in other aspects of their projects. Developers at organization are expected to be results-oriented, have knowledge of new and legacy technologies, have knowledge of the relevant platforms and environments, and be familiar with business process, functions and data within their domain to provide innovative, insightful, and secure solutions
This position requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills. Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Requirements

ADP is hiring a Developer – Lifion
You will start your day on a scrum call to sync up the sprint work and goal with your team. You will spend most of your day designing, developing and testing your code and supporting your team members. You will be able to deploy your code in production using automated continuous integration and continuous deployment.
You will work with product managers, analysts, architects, and engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement information technology solutions.
Availability to work in a hybrid work model, reporting directly to our Porto Alegre Office location.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:
- We’ll start each day with a scrum, working together to understand responsibilities, ID any issues, and communicate coding priorities.
- Working in two-week sprints, you must keep up with timelines and good coding standards. Your primary responsibility is to deliver features on time.
- We don’t code in a silo. You’ll talk to everyone from the project manager to Quality Assurance and current customers to understand requirements and create a collaborative output.
- We’re always learning new codes and investigating open-source communities. Knowing what questions to ask is more important than knowing the right answers.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- Demonstrates advanced understanding and experience on web application development.
- Experience on backend development using Java and Spring framework.
- Know best practices around software development, SDLC, unit testing, frontend performance tuning, be able to share this knowledge with others in the team.
- Experience using CI and CD pipelines
- Technical Analysis – analyzing systems, problems, programs, formulating solutions.
- Participates in requirements gathering and reviews, assesses technical feasibility, assists in defining solutions, and prepares development artifacts where required.
- Conducts code walk through and reviews with team members.
- Monitors changes in technology; remains up to date on current industry trends and internal architecture practices, principles, models and standards;
HOW YOU’LL STAND OUT:
- Nice to have, develop frontend framework
- Develop frontend web applications in NodeJS, React or similar
- Support production software operations, test and debug programs
- Make a good use of the CI and CD pipeline
- Self-taught worker: capable of learning and applying by himself
- Self-guided worker: capable of working with different product teams with little supervision after the initial learning period
- Strong collaboration skills: ability to establish good relationships with the stakeholders
- Developer empathy: ability to empathize with developers, by being flexible in solution design without compromising best practices and standards.
- Improvisation (lateral thinking): the ability to think across disciplines and existing boundaries (technologies/business/geographies)
- Research: an inclination to continuous research inside and outside of the current focus fields
