Kalmar Finance is looking for a Development Manager, Data & Analytics. In this role you combine commercial thinking with a data-driven attitude, improving our internal decision making and business processes through digital automation, business intelligence and advanced analytics. You will join a truly international working environment and support making global trade faster, smarter and more sustainable.

The position is hybrid and is opened for Finland, Poland, Bulgaria and Sweden.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Participating in the formulation of Kalmar’s digitalisation, data and analytics strategy
• Leading the implementation of data-driven solutions in finance and other business domains 
• Effectively utilising data management and analytics tools to provide decision support and extract actionable insights 
• Developing and maintaining centrally managed data products and analyses, acting as a subject matter expert
• Fostering a self-service analytics culture by providing training, support, and sharing of best practices 
• Continuously innovating and improving our data management, business intelligence, and advanced analytics practices.

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

• University degree in Exact Science, Engineering, Management or Economics.

Experience:

• Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role in a high-performance environment.

Competencies:

• Highly motivated, hands on, energised and passionate about using technology to create business value
• Familiarity with one or more business domains, preferably finance but could also be others such as operations or supply chain management
• Demonstrated ability to acquire deep skills in some data analytics platform or tools beyond spreadsheets. Some programming experience (ideally SQL/Python) is required, and familiarity with Google Cloud and BigQuery are desired but not required
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to analyse data to relevant conclusions
• An entrepreneurial and execution-focused mentality, taking ownership of projects from ideation to successful outcomes
• Experience interacting with stakeholders in different domains and at various levels of seniority.
