Job Purpose and Impact

The Application Portfolio Management Advisor will drive DT&D (Digital Technology and Data) outcomes of optimization, simplification, rationalization, modernization, and cost reduction across Cargill’s diverse Application Portfolio.  In this role, you will ensure key stakeholders across DT&D Enterprise and Function teams are engaged to define Application Portfolio strategies and roadmaps, aligned with architecture and supplier strategies, and oversee the plan to deliver.  You will build, sustain, and enhance sustainable technology, data, and processes to enable Application Portfolio Management in a way that balances efficiency, effectiveness and experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • Partner collaboratively with DT&D Enterprise and Function teams to drive Application Portfolio Management (APM) outcomes, including ownership of the methodology, business case, roadmap, and ensuring alignment to strategy.
  • Provide facilitation across diverse set of DT&D resources and efficient navigation of organization structure to enable effective, efficient processes that are easy for DT&D to adopt and deploy.
  • Champion the long-term Cargill and Digital & Data strategies by enabling the effective data, processes and tools via APM
  • Drive improved decision making, understanding and management of total cost of ownership (TCO) and guide strategic investment decisions for the Application Portfolio.
  • Drive and maintain reporting, analytics, insights, and metrics needed to ensure long-term strategy is defined, measured, and monitored across DT&D
  • Evaluate trends and execute plans to improve outcomes, addressing concerns and needs with high performance solutions and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Ability to connect a breadth of functional needs including data, technology, data science and manufacturing operations
  • Experience within an agile work environment having demonstrated basic agile principles in a fast paced business environment
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
