Roles and Responsibilities
- Support trouble shooting of installed products at customer site, including accurate and timely settlement of all warranty claims from assigned customers
- Execute on site project management and technical leader duties to resolve customer issues and provide customer satisfaction
- Coordinate additional opportunities to serve the customer with the customer service team, parts, other FSE’s, repair services, sales, and product engineering teams
- Advise the customer of recommended upgrades, parts, and service opportunities to improve customer productivity and sell GE parts / services
- Coordinate maintenance activities for the customer and plan for inspections
- Provide support to engineering teams working on customer CMU’s projects
- Perform other related engineering tasks to facilitate proper commissioning and customer satisfaction
- Provide on call support in response to customer calls for service
- Ensure appropriate response and service is provided to customer
- Complete timely service reports and other administrative requirements
Required Qualifications
- Associates from an accredited university or Institution Associate's
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within an engineering environment
- Previous PLC Programming experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with (automation, AC & DC drives, AGC and Level 2)
Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
- Ability and willingness to travel and work overtime, as required
- Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and/or US Passport
- Electronics, electrical and/or mechanical trouble shooting skills (hands-on approach)
- Ability to learn software tool applications to support HMI and application changes
- Strong computer skills with familiarity with MS Office, TCP / IP configuration
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Electrical maintenance experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong programming skills in ladder logic and function block PLC applications
