We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Bid Professional to join our Siemens Energy Brazil team.
The Bid Professional will work closely with the Sales team to identify and develop the opportunity. You will also work closely with the technical, commercial, and project management teams to ensure that proposals meet customer needs and requirements while positioning Siemens Energy as the preferred supplier.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Preparing technical proposals and cost estimates for industrial applications and engineered solutions which may include equipment, design engineering, testing, installation and commissioning of power, AC / DC Drive Systems and Automation systems, with primary focus on the Marine and Offshore Oil and Gas industries.
- Developing and maintaining thorough knowledge of assigned industry structure, applications, terminology, trends, and issues.
- Working closely the sales team to develop effective proposal strategies and with the technical teams to develop effective and innovative solutions.
- Estimating costs and deadlines for proposed projects.
- Collecting relevant technical information and translating it into clear and comprehensive proposal which includes technical documentation, diagrams, specifications, and risk analyses.
- Attending client meetings with Sales to present and defend proposals.
- Participating in customer negotiations during the bidding phase as requested.
- Supporting and sharing win / loss analysis and lessons learned to help improve processes, bid quality and competitiveness.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime or Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in drafting complex proposals related to electrification and automation solutions for the Marine and the Offshore Oil and Gas industries.
- Advanced understanding of the technical and regulatory standards and requirements of the Marine and the Offshore Oil and Gas industries.
- Experience in coordinating proposal preparation activities and collaborating with multi-national teams.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Good understanding and ability to work with MS Project.
- Fluent in Spanish and English, written and spoken.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare clear and persuasive proposals.
- Ability to work independently and to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel up to 10%
