Job Description

We are seeking top-performing professionals to join our Site Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team. As a member of our team, you will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with us in developing and implementing compliant EHS programs at our Cruzeiro site.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in integrating EHS programs into our daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and meeting performance objectives. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including manufacturing, office, and facility support functions, to develop EHS priorities that align with our site's business objectives. The ability to take ownership of your responsibilities and address challenges with minimal supervision is essential in this role.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support Cruzeiro's Animal Health manufacturing facility to keep compliance regarding local and corporate EHS requirements;
  • Work with the site EHS Manager to implement the best management practices to ensure sustained EHS compliance;
  • Support specific EHS programs as assigned (i.e. Machine Guarding, Risk Assessments, Process Safety, Incident Management and High Risk Work – Fall Protection, Confined Space, LOTO and Line Breaking);
  • Coordinate efforts to prevent EHS incidents onsite, be part of investigations and root cause analysis;;
  • Perform on-site inspections and audits escalating potential gaps/ concerns accordingly;
  • Coach the site personal about corporate policies, local requirements and best practices;
  • Support the site engineering on significant capital projects and product transfer;
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments according our Management of Change procedures;
  • Develop and deliver effective EHS training to employees in order to enhance their EHS awareness and skills;
  • Demonstrate urgency sense and be ready to seek involvement with EHS matters, understanding business challenges and looking for quick and effective solutions;
  • Act with candor and integrity to attend internal customers, such as the manufacturing group, engineering and quality. Build partnership among internal customers;
  • Have the ability to influence people on EHS matters, gaining the trust from stakeholders, improving the EHS culture among them;
  • Ability to work on projects, independently to meet assigned schedules and anticipate potential risks;
  • Good interpersonal skills, approachable and high integrity;
  • Acting with energy, initiative and constant search for learning.

Main requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related areas;
  • Post graduate degree in Safety Engineering;
  • Advanced English communication skills;
  • Previous EHS relevant experience in an industrial environment;
  • Previous experience working in multinational companies;
  • Availability to work on-site in Cruzeiro/SP.
