JOB PURPOSE

Technology and Innovation Team, with a technical focus aimed primarily at implementing projects in factories, which may include product innovation, process improvement, sustainability, capacity enhancement, or digitization. Additionally, it aims to achieve the following complementary objectives: technical knowledge acquisition of industrial processes, support in addressing chronic factory issues, sharing lessons learned among plants, connecting the development area (R&D) with the manufacturing/production team, among other related topics.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

1- Innovation Delivery:

Development and implementation of innovation projects together Marketing, R&D, Quality, Planning, Manufacturing, etc, guarantying the on time in full (OTIF) delivery through analysis and investigation process that minimize/solve potential problems.

Identify and explore opportunities to process simplification, harmonization and cost savings actions as well.

As typical activities:

·Supply chain single point of contact for innovation projects guarantying actions delivery with quality and OTIF.

·Plan and lead industrial tests identifying needs of new equipments, process and general impacts in Security, Health, Environment, Quality, logistic, etc.

·New process development and improvement for current ones due to specific requirements.

·Influence and contribution to lay out definition, Equipments list generation, timeline.

·Close work with UEnS and R&D departments.

·Support Capital Proposal elaboration minimizing investments and maximizing current assets utilization in compliance with SHE, Quality and efficiency.

·Lead continuous improvement activities in projects guarantying the perfect execution.

·Guarantee Manufacturing Excellence.

·Give inputs to Finance regarding conversion cost as productivity information, additional labours, production expenses, etc.

·Participate on SHE activities linked to projects (Risk Assessment) and ensure actions implementation.

·Prepare required documents regarding innovation projects (“Launching Monitoring Plan”, “Transfer Pack”, key indicators, Industrials tests report, etc).

·Introduce patterns, new raw materials and specifications in a systematic and organized way.

·Provide trainings regarding new implementations.

·Lead commissioning (timeline, resources, etc) monitoring innovations performance, including post launches evaluations.

·Participation on innovations meetings (Projects and Technical gate meetings) rising up bullet points and actions regarding process development and engineering.

·Evaluating production capabilities in house and in co-makers, supporting outsourcing.

2- Factory Support:

Leadership and participation in continuous improvement projects and optimization process, implementing capacity increase, quality and value improvement projects.

As typical activities:

·Support/lead activities of “Early Product Management" (EPM) and "Early Equipment Management" (EEM) in capacity increase and improvements projects.

·Contribute to the Manufacture WCM process through performance improvement (changeover reduction, bottlenecks elimination), process losses reduction and quality improvement.

·Implement together Manufacturing, Supply Management and R&D the value improvement projects (personnel and losses reduction, performance increase, etc).

·Lead and validate new raw materials, specifications and process.

·Support/Lead opportunities to consumer complaints reduction related to process or materials.

3- Technology Leadership:

To be the reference and the guardian of the technology knowledge, guarantying the development and implementation of new practices. Ensure compliance with the Unilever standards as GMP. Find solutions to existent issues and identify outside opportunities to improve competitiveness.

 As typical activities:

·Participate/lead taskforce to reduce consumer’s complaints and process improvement.

·Participate in discussions about technologies in local, regional and global forums (as equipments and process harmonization).

·Prospect new technologies to support Marketing and R&D to innovate and that could leverage the operations environmental impact as well.

·Support the regional Quality team.

·Organize specific trainings regarding technologies to the operation team.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

·​​Completed graduation - preferably in Chemical Engineering or Food Engineering.

·Advanced English and Portuguese.

·Desirable advanced Spanish.

·Delivery through people; at least Regional Innovation experience is a differentiator, including project leadership; Communication development track record; self-confidence and maturity to interface with senior levels within the Category and with the Op.Cos; Ability to work closely and cooperatively with the Op.Cos to achieve the business targets.

·Organized person;

·Experience on Food Processing/ Technology highly appreciated.

·Work in virtual teams.

·Team player/ leadership.

·Digital understanding / Mindse.
