As a Finance Project Controller, you will belong to Electrification Business Area in Tokyo, Japan you will be responsible for leading planning, scheduling and cost control efforts for all project phases. Maintaining and analyzing actual and forecasted schedules, cost and risk. Monitoring, reporting and managing deviations.Local regal entity of this position is ABB K.K.

This position reports to

Local Business Controller

Your responsibilities

• Supporting the tender manager on financial aspects. Providing input to negotiations on commercial issues and providing input in local risk review process
• Providing input to the Project Execution Plan on financial aspects. Preparing project invoices, financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting)
• Driving and seeking for optimization of project cashflow, revenues and GM contribution together with Project Director. Overseeing currency risk, bonds and guarantees and tax issues
• Participating in opportunity/risk identification, monitoring that all required mitigation actions are timely implemented
• Supporting the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing monthly project reviews
• Participating in preparing the project cost report. Verifying the substance for cost to complete
• Providing support on claim management, back-charges and insurance cases and monitoring the proper follow up together with the Contract Manager/Project Manager up-stream (towards customer), side-stream (towards consortia partner) as well as down-stream (towards suppliers)
• Supporting the Project Manager in adherence to corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal control, group charter, business specific finance directives and instructions

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• Experience of working in international company
• Must have experience in project controlling and SAP experience
• Finance background or project management background
• Must have financial knowledge
• Japanese -JLPT N1 or above and English business level
