JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

The Funding and Foreign Exchange Trader will handle the Funding and Foreign Exchange trading for the defined countries within the region. In this role, you will manage the risks associated with Funding and Foreign Exchange products using applied financial market knowledge.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Handle the day to day execution of external Funding and Foreign Exchange transactions for the assigned countries.
• Assist to ensure the optimal intercompany cross-border funding flows and manage the interest rate risk and Foreign Exchange exposure of these short term funding positions.
• Execute Foreign Exchange trades in accordance with agreed counterparties and in markets that will have the best tax impact for the company.
• Assist to take proprietary risk positions for the defined market, analyzing the financial markets to take positions in financial assets, partnering with key stakeholders to register potential transactions and evaluating risk unit usage for maximum utilization and return over risk units.
• Conduct market analysis to provide Foreign Exchange or interest rate views.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, engineering, statistics, mathematics or equivalent

• Relevant Financial Market experience
• Advanced English
• Advanced Spanish will be considered a differential
• Knowledge in Excel (intermediate to Advanced)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in financial engineering, applied mathematics or master of business administration
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
• Experience in financial markets in Foreign Exchange or funding desks of large corporates or major
banks
