Main responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Be responsible for developing the work safety and occupational health plan, work safety documentation, work safety training, SESMT, specialized service in safety engineering and occupational medicine (NR 04), PCMAT, conditions program and working environment in the construction industry (NR 18), PGR environmental risk management program (NR 01) and PGR risk management program (NR 22).
• Enable Zero Hazard and comply with all safety and quality standards in all areas, deliverables and activities under your responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with NR 22 and CIPAMIM and its programs throughout the Piauí Niquel Project; as well as other regulatory standards for the activities to be carried out;
• Lead inspections at workplaces, identifying risk conditions and proposing actions to eliminate these situations, as well as guiding and raising awareness among employees regarding risk situations and their prevention;
• Coordinate and prepare reports with records of non-compliance of activities carried out with the appropriate action plans;
• Carry out a preliminary risk analysis of the tasks carried out in the Araguaia Project, proposing improvement actions, in order to obtain safer working conditions;
• Control training needs and schedules on occupational health and safety, also organizing mobilization, campaigns, lectures, attendance and evaluation lists, as well as the material necessary to carry out the same;
• Conduct investigation of accidents and incidents, opening a CAT (Work Accident Report) when necessary and action plans, generating the appropriate reports;
• Ensure that health and safety inspections;
• Ensure management of fire equipment;
• Monitor indicators and statistics of work accidents, occupational and occupational diseases, as well as prepare reports;
• Develop general HS plan and strategies for the project, developing the safety culture in the company;
• Ensure that all procedures are developed, communicated and function effectively;
• Execute project activities in accordance with HS programs and procedures;
• Develop and maintain regular reporting schedule by consolidating daily measures into formalized reports;
• Support local community relations issues, in accordance with the Community Relations strategy and plan;
• Intermediate with the institution's medical and social services, aiming to facilitate the necessary care for injured people.
Requirements and skills
• Communicate in English and a native Portuguese speaker.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering with a postgraduate degree in occupational safety;
• Senior health and safety leadership and commitment to reporting any health and safety issues on the project, potential incident/hazard condition or any conception of value related to HS, applying due care to the environment, health and safety to team members project and team.
