WHAT YOU'LL DO


As a member of our Global Benefits & Wellbeing Centre of Expertise, you will be at the helm of the strategic development and operationalisation of our next-generation employee Benefits Insurance programs. Integrating them into BCG's Wellbeing@BCG value proposition and holistic healthcare component, "HealthPathways", your responsibilities will include:
  • Expert Advisory:
    • Technical Advisory: As a subject matter expert with a deep understanding of group health benefits, you will advise local and regional stakeholders on global employee Benefits Insurance topics such as benefit strategies, audits, benchmarking, and governance.
    • Innovative Solutions: Develop innovative approaches to address employees' current and future healthcare needs and to leverage scale to optimise cost and risk, actively researching competitive practices and analysing data to evaluate benefit program metrics.
    • Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize your expertise to analyse healthcare and people data to identify patterns and insights, test hypotheses and make recommendations, aligning with the goals of "HealthPathways".
    • Employee Communications Support: Assist local teams in achieving best-practice standards in communicating our holistic healthcare offerings to employees. Emphasise clarity and continuity in messaging to enhance understanding and engagement with our healthcare benefits.
  • Global Insurance Renewals:
    • Driving Global Renewal Processes: You will be at the forefront of managing employee benefit insurance renewals across BCG's extensive network. Your role involves close coordination with Global Benefits Managers, local HR teams and/or our brokers, ensuring renewal processes are tracked and conducted efficiently and effectively.
    • Leadership in Major Market Renewals: You'll play a crucial role in guiding renewals in major markets, leveraging your expertise to align these processes with BCG's high standards.
  • Strategic Leadership & Negotiation
    • Lead large, complex, and multi-dimensional projects focusing on the creation and implementation of innovative employee Benefits Insurance programs, harmoniously aligning with the objectives of "HealthPathways".
    • Leverage strong negotiation skills to craft agreements that drive business value, focusing on developing cost-effective insurance programs that align with BCG's aspirations.
    • Engage in strategic negotiations with both internal and external stakeholders, working towards favorable terms that are mutually beneficial and promote BCG's status as a premier employer.
    • Embrace new ideas and champion innovative approaches to cater to the evolving benefit needs of employees and of the business, aligning with the "HealthPathways" strategy for holistic healthcare.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate deep relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing decision-making processes and navigating sensitive discussions with senior stakeholders.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor the Global Benefits Managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous growth within the Global Benefits & Wellbeing COE.

YOU'RE GOOD AT


  • Collaborative Approach: Building robust relationships at all organisational levels and fostering collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to drive initiatives and taking the lead for creating and executing project plans, including creating/co-creating claims analysis and various other deliverables such as reports and presentations.
  • Influential Leadership: Steering transformative change through deep technical expertise in health insurance design, claims analytics, and negotiations, as well as a clear and integrated approach to preventive and proactive programs and interventions.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, fostering significant impact and driving the objectives of the "HealthPathways" initiative.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven Approach: Adeptness in researching and analysing healthcare practices, plans and programs. Ability to derive recommendations from findings and ensure that healthcare plans remain current, legal, and competitive. Interest and ability to analyse data to identify issues and opportunities, drawing insights to steer strategic plans and using numerical analysis to demonstrate proof points.
  • Navigating Complexity with Ease: Delivering pragmatic, win-win outcomes for global and local teams through adept problem-solving skills.
  • Managing Ambiguity: Setting clear agendas and showcasing self-motivation in spearheading daily activities, coupled with a knack for managing ambiguity.
  • Innovation: Embracing new ideas and championing innovative approaches to cater to the evolving benefit needs of employees and of the business to the "HealthPathways" strategy to holistic healthcare.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)


  • Industry Experience: You bring 10+ years of relevant experience, with an extensive background in international benefits consulting, preferably with roles at insurance brokerages or international health insurers, and expertise in multinational pooling and Global Benefits management.
  • Deep Understanding of Group Health Benefits: You command a deep knowledge of global employee benefits topics, emphasising healthcare. High proficiency and deep interest in analysing external and internal data to draw insights and recommendations holistically to drive improvement in physical and mental health.
  • Proven track record of leading initiatives which have resulted in successful and meaningful cost efficiencies, increased employee value proposition and improved employee/population health.
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills: Strong numerical skills and a high ability to summarise complex and technical information engagingly through PowerPoint.
  • Growth Mindset: An enthusiasm for continuous learning and adaptability, embracing new technology and learning constructively from feedback.
