Job Summary:

As a Senior IT Specialist, the employee will be responsible for providing IT solutions for highly complex strategic projects through a systemic vision (Business Acumen) in several business areas. He acts as an architect for the integration of new systems and demands, coordinating with other IT specialists providing the best solutions, whether developing new systems, integrating market or corporate systems. He has a high technical level in IT tools, mainly with Mainframe technology.

What You Will Do:

Computer application development and technical knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain business issues and will help clients achieve business objectives.

Thoroughly knowledgeable of relevant programming languages, program design, system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, design patterns and documentation, and cross-platform infrastructure components.

Knowledgeable in design and development of Legacy and MAMM application specifications, programming logic, logic diagrams, system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage and internal systems and multiplatform infrastructure components; can provide training on these topics to others.

Works independently to design solutions and handle complex programming/testing, project management, and development tasks independently for complex order-to-delivery systems used by one or more applications or systems without close supervision to meet customer requirements customer across different functional organizations.

Implements and integrates complex medium to large systems developed internally and/or acquired software solutions.

Serves as technical lead, providing technical guidance and assistance to other team members.

Conducts integrated testing and customer acceptance testing with careful planning and execution to ensure high-quality results.

Supports effective change management processes (within the team, between organizations, between projects, business partners, etc.) meeting all ITSM governance responsibilities.

Assists customers or process partners with documentation, training, and usability efforts.

Addresses complex applications and technical issues, including non-OTD applications.
 

Basic Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT area

Experience: More than 10  years of IT experience

Knowledge: For this position, high knowledge of end-to-end business processes is expected, mainly focused on Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain . The position requires knowledge of various application systems and software application interface, as well as the various programming languages. For example. Mainframe COBOL, JCL, ACF2, IMS, DB2, Oracle/SQL/DB2/IMS, Visual Basic etc. This position requires knowledge of the mainframe applications, both Legacy and Corporate MAMM applications. Experienced in specification design and development, programming logic, logic diagrams, systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage and internal systems and cross-platform infrastructure components; the ability to provide training on these topics to others is needed.

Language: Pre-Advanced English

Analytical skills and communication skills are required.

Technology Advising : Knowledge of effective advisory methods and ability to provide valued information and advice to clients regarding products, technologies, services and solutions for a specific technology domain.

Emerging Technologies: Knowledge of emerging technologies; ability to design, apply and evaluate new information technologies for business environments.

Hardware Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and systems programming; ability to design, build and integrate IT hardware into multi-platforms for the organization.

Systems Software Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction; ability to design and build a fundamental architecture of operating systems, database management systems, communications protocols, compilers and other development tools.

Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.

Desirable Qualifications:

Have a good understanding of the Caterpillar organization and its business processes is preferred.

IIOT / Industry 4.0 / Smart Manufacturing trends experience

Previous experience developing order-to-delivery or manufacturing applications will be preferred.

Previous experience architecting enterprise solutions that extend across multiple applications and domains.

SAP Mach1 experience on hyperscale’s.
