WHAT YOU'LL DO


As a Knowledge Analyst (KA) within BCG's Climate & Sustainability Practice Area, you will be a core member of a fast-growing and entrepreneurial team that aims to be the top advisor and thought leader for both Latin America, especially, Brazil’s private and public sectors in the net-zero transition and sustainable development. By building and providing knowledge expertise on topics relevant to climate action, sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), you will serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams, topic/sector leaders, and clients, helping solve complex and Impactful issues.
Additionally, you will develop existing & new intellectual property and knowledge assets related to net-zero transition across industries and sectors. You will work on commercialization efforts for Climate & Sustainability with business leaders and support related marketing efforts, conferences, and publications.

YOU'RE GOOD AT


  • Solving client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches in climate and sustainability

  • Framing, structuring, and sharing intellectual property, with the ability to write clearly and concisely

  • Codifying knowledge and maintaining assets and tools for climate and sustainability based on different client contexts

  • Communicating with senior stakeholders, in a credible and confident way

  • Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working

  • Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas

  • Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity

  • Prioritization, time management and ability to work autonomously


YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)


  • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred);

  • Fluency in Portuguese and English required;

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and PowerPoint)

  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment;

  • 1-2+ years minimum relevant industry experience required; previous consulting experience is appreciated. Relevant experience in at least 1-3 of the following areas required:

    • Climate Policy & Regulation, Carbon markets (also to be in line with the naming conventions inside of C&S);

    • Climate transition: CO2 abatement for private and/or public sector players: Emission baselining (incl. life cycle assessment (LCA), Product carbon footprint (PCF), corporate carbon footprint (CCF) and scope 3 assessment), net-zero initiative development, and climate transformation;

    • Net zero & decarbonization relevant standards, e.g., CDP, SBTi (Science Based Targets Initiative), TCFD, TNFD; GHG (greenhouse gas) Protocol;

    • Sustainable growth: Portfolio strategy, product innovation, green business development; green finance;

    • Sustainable supply chain: Purchasing & supply management manufacturing operations, and green supply chain transformation;

    • ESG: Evaluation, analytics, and reporting;

As a Knowledge Analyst you will collaborate with local topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. Our team is made up of a diverse pool of knowledge positions that allow us to pursue exciting, innovative knowledge careers.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.
BCG's Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA’s business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
