The LATAM Collections Analyst must be well versed in the Brazilian collections laws, processes, and accounting norms in order to successfully manage the customer and H2O.AI payment relationships. Full fluency of the local language, knowledge of the customers, and also familiarity with SAAS contracts are also key attributes for this role. This role will report to H2O.AI Controller. This role will be measured by collections performance metrics, (Aging targets, Collection targets, and Collection forecasting.
This role is based in Brazil.
What You Will Do
- Manages the LATAM Accounts Receivable reporting and DSO (Aging)
- Works closely with the LATAM Sales teams for support with invoicing, payments, and any accounting related needs.
- Requests and pursues payment on delinquent accounts via communication with account holders.
- Follows established guidelines in LATAM to review and update account status/
- Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement by streamlining, standardizing and automating LATAM Collections processes and reporting requirements
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Proven ability to motivate, influence and lead teams and cross-functional stakeholders to execute on challenging, desired business outcomes
- Excellent people leadership skills, including managing teams across geographies
- Superior ability to resolve business issues, drive for results and provide finance consultation to leadership within area of expertise
- Ability to build partnerships across functions through establishing rapport and gaining the trust of stakeholders
- Experience in developing financial reports and metrics, through superior mastering of Excel and PowerPoint tools
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and take the necessary steps to validate assumptions
- Dynamic interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact and influence across all levels internal and external to the organization
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical ability
- Excellent project management and prioritization skills
- Solid decision making ability and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Portuguese, Spanish and English
- Working knowledge on Netsuite ERP system is a plus
