Based in Sorocaba, reporting to LatAm Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse and distribution operations. The role, in coordination with the Group Warehouse & Distribution Manager and the Country Supply Chain Managers and Procurement team, is responsible to optimize the LatAm logistic processes and cost structure, with a particular focus on the road and sea freight, warehouses and Distribution Centers operation and trade compliance. 

Job responsibilities

Support the Supply Chain Direction as expert on transport and logistics on regional and global projects aiming to improve continuously the service level provided to the customers, focus on optimize solutions and costs and lead the efficiencies projects in the region with emphasis in sustainability.

You will focus on the following activities:

  • Establish, together with the Supply Chain Managers of each country, strategies for the economic and timely logistics and transport services in the region.

  • Ensure the harmonization of Logistic procedures in the LatAm perimeter, including legal, safety and security requirements and adherence to all company rules and government regulations.

  • Lead the development of logistics efficiency projects, encouraging the constant generation of ideas for simplification and sustainability through continuous improvement and lean methodology. Organize and manage Regional Logistics Projects delivery including implementation support, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on program tasks and milestones, assuring the results according to commitments

  • Participate in logistics/transportation providers selection and ongoing performance, working in partnership with Procurement team on the preparation of technical specification based on countries’ requirements as well as giving technical support on negotiations of contracts and to assure the attendance to the requirements and quality of service provided

  • Lead continuously review with countries to enhance warehouse, distribution and transportation processes focus on efficiency and effectiveness. Responsible for developing, sustaining and improving the performance & productivity metrics related to Logistics & Distribution in the region, including physical inventories accuracy. Develop and manage KPIs and supporting analytical capabilities.

  • Active participation on the technical project’s definition of new Warehouses and Distribution Centers, owned or contracted from third-party, assuring that all logistics, safety, security and IT systems requirements, were considered in the project and during implementation and initial operation.

  • Prepare the Regional logistics cost budget, in coordination with the Countries´ Supply Chain Managers. Oversee and support monthly financial reporting and yearly budgeting processes related to Logistics Costs for the region

  • Participate together with the Engineering and Commercial areas of the analytical analysis of the contracts of new offers and contracts, to satisfy the client's need and define the most appropriate logistics strategy

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in the region. Responsible for the company trade compliance in the region (Export Control procedure)

  • Identify opportunities for automation and technology adoption to streamline operations, supporting countries in the project definition and implementation)

  • Control the expenses inherent to the function to comply with the established budget.

  • Comply with the Matrix of Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities regarding the Occupational Health and Safety Management System

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain.

Professional Experience
The position requires a minimum of 10 years of previous experience, in the area of Supply Chain, Logistics, export and import, or similar functions, necessary to master the main activities of the position.

Further experience on cable industry or electro-electronic will be consider as a plus.

Graduation

  • Graduated in Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration

  • MBA or Pos-University Degree on Logistics or Supply Chain

  • Availability for constant trips
