Layout engineer II

Be part of a team that uses test equipment and instrumentation to test product designs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Evaluation of System requirements, deriving Hardware requirements specification and Architecture.

·       Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in designing and developing embedded systems (32-bit microcontroller), encompassing both hardware and software integration.

·       Contribution on Hardware Software Interface specification (HSI) and with firmware engineer.

·       Guide the team with complete electronics product development activities.

·       Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the projects.

·       Ensure overall quality of the product design and prototyping activities.

Technical Skills:

·       Experience in designing microcontroller boards and associated peripheral circuits,

·       Experience in analog and digital circuit design, board level power supply design (LDO, Buck, Boost, Flyback)

·       Experience in actuator and motor control circuit design

·       Experience in designing interface circuits and different types of analog and digital sensors.

·       Knowledge in communication interfaces like SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, T1L, RS-232/485

·       Experience in Wireless technologies – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi , sub-GHz etc.,

·       Experience with CAD packages (Mentor Graphics, Altium) for schematic capture and PCB layout design.

·       Knowledge of component selections, BOM preparation, Power loss estimation/calculation and circuit simulations.

·       Good knowledge on Signal integrity (SI) and power Integrity (PI)

·       Understanding of EMI/EMC issues, experience with debugging and meet the requirements.

·       Support team members during product testing, debugging, pre-compliance and final certification testing activities.

·       Experience with Reliability analysis, FMEA and MTBF.

·       Experience in preparing documents like HDD, layout guidelines, test plan, test reports etc.,

·       Experience in board bring-up, testing and troubleshooting the electronic circuits.

·       Experience in using equipment’s like DSO, signal generator, thermal imager, data logger.

·       Experience in system level testing and validation of electronic products

·       Provide technical guidance and inputs to the team members to root-cause and solve critical design and production issues.

·       Experience in end-to-end electronic product development

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 3+yrs
