MET Products - LeadSoftware Engineer
Be part of a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell. You will be instrumental in designing, planning and coordinating work teams, as well as providing technical support. You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities. You will interface and exchange with internal and external customers, vendors and suppliers throughout the life of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for Leading Aircraft Maintenance Systems product architecture and design across product lines for ATR and BGA segments.
- Drive Web Applications design & development using J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Microservices, MS SQL Server, JavaScript & ReactJS framework.
- Recommend Architecture/Design strategies, processes, and methodologies and Lead design reviews with customer/stakeholders.
- Ability to manage architecture & design for multiple project teams, building continuous improvement culture, driving reduction in cycle time and cost using contemporary industry standard design practices.
- Influence the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and design patterns across projects.
- Work closely with product owners, project managers, and customer/stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
- Practice culture of business-driven innovation to create a strong pipeline of technology forward and market backed offering pipeline. Actively work with cross functional teams in innovation process and secure IP (patents).
- Enhance value to customer by providing more innovative solutions for complex problems.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- BE/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 12+ years of overall experience in software product development and designing large enterprise applications.
- 10+ years of experience in Java, J2EE, Spring boot with Design Patterns, Hibernate and 4+ Years of experience in JavaScript & ReactJS frameworks.
- 2+ years of experience developing cloud applications (Preferably Azure).
- Working knowledge of Micro Service frameworks, Kubernetes, and Docker containers.
- Proficiency in working with Relational Databases (Preferably MSSQL Server).
- Working knowledge of unit test framework like Junit, Test Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience working in an agile environment with full stack teams.
- Sound knowledge & experience in Design, Development & Certification of Aerospace Avionics Software.
- Deep knowledge about Aircraft diagnostics and prognostics products like Central Maintenance System, Trigger based Recording System, Vehicle Health Management Systems.
- Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment focused on delivering a world class product within an agile methodology utilizing latest technology frameworks.
- Ability to continuously innovate and produce new ideas for new products and services.
