Logistics Programmer Analyst I

The Transportation Planning NAP team is a centralized team responsible for supporting North American Paper 3rd party warehouses utilizing the SAP operating model. The Programer Logistics role has responsibility for creating shipment plans and managing pickup and delivery execution to ensure customer expectations are met. In this role, the Programer will effectively manage weight optimization, mode selection, and carrier selection to meet service requirements at optimum cost

Roles and Responsabilities:

1. Create executable and timely transportation plans for assigned facilities through the utilization of supply chain processes, Optimizer and/or manual planning.

2. Ensure shipments are monitored for on-time pickup and delivery. Proactively communicate exceptions to prevent failures.

3. Influence performance measures: Vehicle Weights, Cost to Serve, Best Mode, Direct Loading, On Time Performance, Customer Fines, Routing Guide Adherence, etc.

4. Responsible for updating their respective facilipedias to ensure info is correct for knowledge and back up coverage reference materials. (share point)

5. Build and maintain relationships with customer service, supply planning, replenishment planning, carriers, facilities, MCMs, & RCMs to meet cost and service objectives.

6. Respond to internal requests utilizing knowledge of up and down stream business processes.

7. Collaborate with the Supply Chain Team to understand trends, obstacles, and opportunities for improvements.

8. Lead/Participate in deliberate/continuous improvement projects and cost saving initiatives.

9. Travel to facilities work project opportunities and improve understanding of warehouse and shipping processes, to form good working relationship with those partners as well as learn their perspective and share knowledge. when travel policy permits.

10. Understand and follow policies, procedures, and best practices established for managing transportation planning.

11. Acquire understanding of end to end supply chain operating model processes.

12. Support the operational demands requested by Planners.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or related fields);
• Intermediate Office pack;
• Desired SAP (MM) and SAP Transportation.
• Desired relevant work experience in Supply Chain and logistics areas.
• High level english proficiency
