Mechanic (m/f/d) Industrialization

In your function as a mechanic (m/f/d) in GIS industrialization at ABB AG in Ratingen, you will be respon-sible for the implementation of planned expansions in production, the construction and expansion of prototypes and production aids, as well as the maintenance and repair of specific machines. You enjoy working on the continuous, innovative development of GIS production, have an independent way of working and are a strong team player.

Your responsibilities

• Construction and assembly of fixtures and prototypes for the industrialization of GIS products.
• Adaptation of the above-mentioned fixtures/prototypes incl. production of smaller individual parts for completion
• Commissioning and adjustment/optimisation of fixtures/prototypes for the required function
• Assembly of switchgear prototypes or components (e.g. drives, circuit breakers) in preparation for type tests or pilot series
• Construction and furnishing of workplaces/production lines (e.g. Marking of paths, assembly/assembly of workbenches, set-up/installation and commissioning of machine tools, creation and installation of signage according to 5S and Visual Management specifications)
• Design of simple assemblies/components and fixtures using CAD software (Solidworks)
• Derivation/maintenance of drawings and creation of dxf and geo files
• Plan and carry out maintenance work on means of transport and mobile devices in accordance with maintenance plans

Your background

• Completed technical training, e.g. Industrial mechanic (m/f/d) or mechatronics technician (m/f/d)
• Certificate of competency in driving work platforms, crane driver's license
• Good knowledge of computers (MS Office package)
• AGV key user training and TPM certification desirable
• Independent, structured way of working
• Fluent in German as well as basic knowledge of written and spoken English
