We are looking for an Operations Expert . This professional will proactively act as an expert in Mechanical services to advise and promote technical services with innovative solutions, ensuring compliance with customer (internal or external) requirements and goals the company sets.
In this position, you’ll be reporting to Area Manager, Operations Management Support AMER, and travel may be required from time to time (about 10% of the annual workload).
Main responsabilities:
- Proactive daily support for contractual customers, leading and providing support for troubleshooting, identifying and preventing failures, adjustments, fine-tuning, and testing needs.
- Establish communication with internal teams (Agreement, Operations Management, Technical Support, Maintenance Management and Performance Management) in close collaboration to constantly improve the performance of the customers' assets to achieve their outcomes;
- Support customers during the work execution (e.g. conducting meetings and remote support sessions);
- Provide assistance to colleges in case of mechanical, operational, or E&A related issues and feedback to the Maintenance Team to improve its planning;
- Create and deliver reports based on findings from Wartsila's tools (Expert Insight, Wedge, etc);
- Participate in developing efficient operations management and provide feedback for the implementation of new tools.
What it takes:
- MSc or BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
- Native in Portuguese or Spanish;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
- Contract knowledge and customer understanding;
- Fuel, lube oil & water systems management;
- Operation management and control room knowledge;
- Advanced knowledge of 4-stroke engines;
- Engine Control and auxiliary systems;
- Performance and Trend analysis;
- Technical drawings and flow charts;
- Cyber security knowledge (a plus).
