We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Parts Assortment Engineer to join our team!
The role is for a temporary period.
Purpose of the position
Responsible for the Parts Assortment management
Main tasks and responsibilities
● Making sure that parts breakdown policies are effective and efficient by balancing technical possibilities, serviceability, service degree to customers, commercial impact.
● Actively manage the prevention of duplicates in the Parts Assortment.
● Actively manage the simplification of the Parts Assortment development.
● Responsible for the quality of defined parts master data and Service BOMs into ERP, Product Data Management and Product Lifecycle Management systems
● Ensure the parts readiness in New Product Development/Product Lifetime Care projects and its checklists implementation.
● Ensure alignment of our part assortment with the parts catalogues teams (C-Service)
● Create and maintain parts in Product Data Management system with complete master data according to parts breakdown policy
● Create and maintain parts in ERP system with complete master data according to parts breakdown policy
● Collaborate with the team in case of retrofit or upgrades kit creation
● Support the Webshop team for translations, data management and attributes
● Support the service team for service & circular letters from Product Support
● Support GBO business for dedicated data managements
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
● Relevant and completed education in Electrical, Hydraulic and/or mechanical engineering
Experience:
● Relevant and completed education in Electrical, Hydraulic and/or mechanical engineering
● At least 5 years of relevant experience in a technical/commercial role in a service environment
● Relevant experience with Product Data Management and ERP systems
Competencies:
● Able to take decisions on parts breakdown balancing technical and commercial impact
● Fluency in both written and spoken English
● Very good analytical skills
● High attention to detail
● Affinity with database quality
● Customer focused
● Competent use of statistics related to business improvement metrics
● A strong interest in developing existing and new processes, tools and ways of working to increase efficiency and productivity.
● Excellent cooperation skills, ability to work with different cultures, ability to work independently and in teams.
