We are now looking for a Plant Technician to join our Power Plant team in Cabo de Santo Agostinho/PE, Brazil, and availability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Identify the operation and maintenance priorities verified during the shift change together with shift supervisor;
  • Distribute the activities among each member of the team aiming at the availability of equipment, in order to meet the goals established in accordance with the rules and procedures inherent to the process
  • Fill out and close maintenance service orders in the system for the purpose of monitoring the actions performed;
  • Guide employees on solving technical problems when necessary;
  • Report data related to the operation and maintenance of thermoelectric plants, through hourly readings and daily closing.
  • Monitor control systems used in thermoelectric plants;
  • Take care of the parts and equipment under his/her responsibility, as well as guaranteeing the housekeeping of the areas involved in the process;
  • Assist the shift supervisor in their assignments and tasks when necessary.
  • Train and develop the members of the team, through didactic and practical explanations, ensuring the qualification of your team members and the growing and constant evolution of the required skills and competences.
  • Complying with and enforcing Corporate and Quality, Environment, Health and Safety policies, rules, procedures and guidelines, observing information, guidelines, documents and technical specifications.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Complete Technical Training - Mechanics, Electrical or Electrotechnical and others authorized by current legislation;
  • Active CREA/CFT required;
  • Basic English is desirable;
  • Fluent or Native Portuguese;
  • User-level computing (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Knowledge of operation of power plants
