Unilever LATAM is a 7bi TO business operating in 20 countries, reaching millions of consumers everyday. To do that, UL uses a complex network of partners that ships more than 450k loads per year.
By early 2023, the company has decided to organize the Logistics Procurement Teams of all geographies into a new centralized structure, the Global Procurement Customer Operations team, responsible for buying all services to all regions. The intention of the move is to leverage scale and expertise among teams, introducing new disruptive negotiation and partnership approaches, aiming for turn around on competitiveness whilst delivering brilliant execution in the markets. The Procurement Director of Logistics LATAM is part of this newly very successful created team.

JOB PURPOSE
The role of the Logistics Procurement LATAM Director is responsible for the development and execution of the sourcing strategy for procurement of logistic services for all operations of Unilever in Latin America, including transportation, warehousing and pallets services. This position business partner the Customer Operations LATAM VP and his team.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Procurement Director Global Logistics is responsible for the architecture of the LATAM Procurement Logistics Strategy. This includes negotiation strategies, partnership engagement models, logistics cost modeling, fuel indexing strategies, bidding strategy development, contracting systems deployment, and cultivation of external logistics innovation.
He/she will also be the guardian for execution/ overall KPI delivery of this strategy/ annual plans;
Drive capability development into new areas: Ecomm, Net Zero solutions, best commercial practices, automation road maps, etc;
Liaise with other senior stakeholders across the organization to ensure procurement strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the business and aligned with the overall objectives;
Conduct joint business development plans with key suppliers and manage ongoing relationships;
Provide market level strategy support for warehouse and transport procurement;
Create multi-year, cost savings program funnel for market deployment;
Leverage market 3PL benchmarking to identify areas of commercial opportunity across markets;
Co-develop the logistics sustainability roadmap and deploy Electric vehicles in capable markets;
Identify and deploy key logistics innovations such as DFM, automation, & sustainable fuels;
Partner with Global Logistics procurement and IT to identify and deploy contract management systems and data analytics;
Support the business delivery and professional development of direct & indirect reports;
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is mandatory;
Fluency in English and Portuguese;
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing a global and regional Logistics’ Operations Strategy and Portfolio; and Logistics’ Procurement Strategy;
Demonstrated experience on Business Partnering multiple stakeholders/ virtually as well;
Strong experience on developing people & teams;
Problem solving & decision making - Defines problems, systematically gathers and analyses;
