The role supports day to day parts / materials flows / movement and storage location(s). In this role, you will be responsible for receiving / packaging for materials / parts as well as storage in designated location(s), including transportation of bulky items within the site which will require forklift operations.
Move parts utilizing a forklift within the facility to appropriate locations as required in a timely manner without compromising safety and quality
Manage crate and box inventories
Deliver and manage materials / parts inventory
Handle / receive damaged repaired parts that requires visual inspection per process
Support the Main Store & the supermarket routine replenishment
Receive & dispatch materials/ parts to the right department
Perform work in accordance with standard procedures, specifications, and quality documentation
Communicate eg parts status with cross function team members to meet production needs
Ensure compliance with all EHS procedures and requirements
Perform documentation of overall material movement and hand-offs as assigned neatly, accurately, and legibly
Qualifications/Requirements:
Secondary / O Levels / Nitiec / Higher Nitec or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse, stockroom and/or storage yard;
Desired Characteristics:
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Certified to operate a forklift / ability to be certified under GE standards
Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills
Certified in crane and rigging operations
