Program Manager

Job Description

Become part of Cardiovascular Informatics I2M PMO team that is responsible for End-to-End program execution to bring Innovations to market to drive customer satisfaction, profitability and growth. This role is critical to the strategy that CVI has embarked on, to deliver Patient-Centric Integrated Solutions based on Cloud Technologies.
Your role:

  • Formulating the overall Program Plans, in consultation with management and other parties concerned on the base of the requirements.

  • Driving definition and execution of cross-functional projects in alignment with the overall program plan.

  • Organizing the cross-functional resources to be used (quality, time, allocation, budget and information), also helping the team to organize and specifies the quality standard in the processes.

  • Identifying the risks of the project (f.e. specs, costs, planning, etcetera) and developing scenarios to overcome these risks by defining corrective actions and driving the projects to closure.

  • Clearly identifying triggers for escalation and effectively seeking management support to meet program commitments.

  • Coaching and directing project team members and giving them operational guidance, both technically and organizationally, including agile software development when applicable (where necessary, facilitating for implementation and realization and release (if applicable) by the project team according to the project plan (specification, quality, time, money, information) and organization.

  • Representing the Program team in the overall project to optimize fit for use and overall effectiveness.

  • Gathering and integrating project performance and progress information. Reporting on the progress of the project with an agreed frequency on quality, status, time, and money to senior management and to the project members. Ensuring that there is an effective transfer and archiving of the project results and the associated knowledge.

  • Reporting on employees’ performance to the hierarchical superior of the employees for the purpose of appraisal.

  • Ensuring requirements and business cases are defined, completed and approved.

  • Building and maintaining the project organization, helping the team to organize, choosing or coaching on the way of working and selecting the adequate tools (tailors the approach to the specific project) and defining the interfaces with other functions, internal and external Philips.

  • Quality initiatives to ensure quality deliverables of subsystems delivered.

  • Deploying process improvements, supporting continuous improvement of teams and making the project organization efficient and transparent, in line with departmental and project processes and compliance to corporate policies/rules/procedures • Managing internal and external stakeholders.


You're the right fit if:

  • 14+ years of work experience in software (preferably healthcare-related).

  • 5+ years of work experience in project and program management, with a proven track record in sophisticated environments with many different stakeholders.

  • Skilled at portfolio, program and project management techniques and methodologies, such as (Philips) IVPs, VPCs, PDLM Agile, Lean, SAFe, and/or PMP/PMI.

  • Experience with SaaS development and business models will be an added advantage..

  • Proven ability to influence and deliver through others and in a complex, global, matrix organization. Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship- building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.

  • Management experience leading a (small) team is a plus.

  • Strong execution skills, balancing long term strategic deliverables with short term actions, follow-through and results.

  • Ability to cooperate and communicate at different levels in the organization.

  • Fluent in English.
