MISSIONS
Within the SPS team, the Service Holder is responsible for the QC inspection surveillance of fabrications/assembly/test on site according to ITP notification points and needs. (Mainly for fabrication, welding, NDT, coating, assembly and FAT).
ACTIVITIES
At all times, the service holder will:

Main activities:
- To be in charge, within the SUBSEA team of activities related to QA/QC activities concerning all sites (yards activities) during the course of fabrication.
- To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior about H3SE and ensure their implementation within his/her scope of responsibility.
- To ensure that safe working practices are used within the team along all phases of project.
- To ensure that state of the art, COMPANY referential and local rules/laws are complied with and captured in all contractual requirements.
- To seek optimization and savings all along the different phases of the project. To focus on costs without impairing QHSE objectives.
- To ensure compliance of Contractors deliverables and documents with Company H3SE requirements and specifications, with applicable codes and standards and best engineering practices, and with Project specifications.
- To raise necessary comments and highlight unsafe design, deviations, unacceptable / unjustified design choices, constructability issues...
- To ask CTR to issue NCR’s when needed.
- To perform inspection, qualification follow-up and issue regular reports in due time, as required by the project team.
- Close follow up of NCR’s (checking for closure when necessary).
- Close follow up and reporting of progress.
- Review all QC records after issuance.
- Ensure detail progress reporting (step by step, from starting until completion of SOW).
- To work by anticipation.
- To monitor progress in line with CSR according to planning (need to advise if any discrepancy).
- To participate coordination meetings with Contractor as appropriate.
- To ensure follow-up / review / validation of progress performed by Contractor.
- To ensure adequate and timely reporting to the Quality lead, Quality coordinator and CSR (progress, concerns), and anticipates problems, potential optimizations or improvements and offers solutions.
- At site, fabrication workshop or during visit in particular:
- Review of all site documentation related to the project, in particular fabrication and quality plan and all other plans, procedure or reports related to project operations on site.
- To ensure strict ITP steps are applied.
- To ensure that full traceability is fulfilled all along works.
- To witness all WPS/PQR (welding, mechanical tests etc..) when needed.
- Wherever relevant, witness of welding operations, welding operator qualification and equipment, including acceptance criteria.
- Review of NDE techniques and NDE Operatives and acceptance criteria.
- To evaluate (after CTR ) NDT reports.
- Assessment and evaluation of welding environment and facilities, including arrangements for personnel protection and HSE.
- Examination and assessment of materials and consumables.
- To participate to the resolution of any discipline-related problem occurring during the Execution Phase, to review and give recommendation on technical deviation requests and to keep updated the documentation related to the disciplines.
- Painting / coating inspection on fabricated components.
- To follow Assembly, FAT, SIT and load testing, where applicable.
- To perform all necessary inspections, both on site and at any sub-contractors(if required).
- To review all documentation on day-to-day basis after CTR review.
- To ensure confidentiality of all the disciplines-related documentation produced.
- To gather, as requested, ‘lessons learnt’ and provide feedback to the project team and other COMPANY entities as required.
- To ensure that fabricator and CTR are building the MRB all along the fabrications/test.
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
- The services is part of the COMPANY Project team.
- The services reports to:
- To QA/QC coordinator, QA/QC lead,
- To Specialist (Engineering) for technical issues and NCR’s
DURATION & LOCATION
- Start of the Services (estimated) : April/2024.
- Contract duration : 6 months with potential extension.
- Expats or locals: Local.
- Location: São José dos Pinhais - Paraná and different travel within Brazil if required.
- Travels: where needed and request by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Professional Experience (years): 10 – 15 years in QA/QC.
- Experience in similar services (years): more than 10 years of experience with project supervision in relation with QA/QC, procurement activities concerning Subsea Production System (XT,BAP,TH,SCM,FCM…) material, fabrication and test follow-up.
- Good communication skills, organizational skills, and positive attitude.
- The service holder shall have multi discipline skill (welding / NDE/ Coating and specially previous experience ASSEMBLY AND FAT/SIT ) and familiar with COMPANY referential.
- The service holder shall be familiar with Microsoft offices in order to prepare reports and any tables requested by management.
