We at Hiab Loader Cranes, Heavy & Super Heavy are looking for a dynamic, methodical and strongly motivated R&D Development Engineer, Control System who will carry out team activities and promote on his own initiative the necessary activities and methodologies suitable for finalizing the tasks entrusted.
This role will be based in Italy and reports to our R&D Manager, Control Systems.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Carrying out tasks, even complex ones with an interdisciplinary content and international involvement within the group, in a discreet autonomy
- Take an active part in the development of new projects by taking part in the definition of hardware and functional requirements
- Electrical drawings
- Assembly drawing for harness/electronic components using 3D Creo
- Drafting of documentation and technical specifications, test plan and validation
- Hold internal technical courses for production departments / after-sales assistance
- Support in the development of prototypes
- Performing testing / validation activities
- Definition and editing of electronic calibrations.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Degree (BSc/MSc) in Electronics, Mechatronics and similar
- Previous experience (2-3 years) in R&D/Engineering in machinery industries is preferable: material handling and people lifting sector; hydraulic handling machines and Control Systems
- Fluent written and spoken Italian
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Knowledges in drawing electric circuits
- Manual technical skills in circuits and using instruments for measurements and troubleshooting
- CAD 2D (like SPAAC, Autocad, Solid Edge)
- CAD 3D Creo
- Experience in the use of communications networks with field buses (CANOpen, CANOpen Safety)
- Regulatory knowledge: safety in the design of machinery
