Practice Area Profile


What You'll Do


You will be a part of the Financial Institutions Data Tribe with a focus in Wealth Management and Retail Banking segments, comprising content experts with strong industry knowledge, and executing and updating different proprietary assets such as peer benchmarks, databases, diagnostic tools, and simulation models to estimate the market size of the industry. Specifically, acting as the key counterpart in the NAMR region to represent FI Data and manage important client relationships in Wealth Management and Retail Banking with relevant controllers/c-suites. Additionally, client solutioning to solve their unique needs/requests independently where possible, and in alignment with the broader FI data team, is a core component of the role. Frequent and independent interaction with case teams/client account teams, to run client workshops, create solutions to case team needs, and project manage core case deliverables for FI Data in the region, working across global and cross functional teams.  You will be working under supervision in further development and enhancement efforts of the existing assets as well as the creation of new offerings (based on client feedback/PA requirements) to be performed in alignment with Squad Lead / Sector Leads with an effort to grow commercial success in the region. Additional tasks involve the development of internal methodology and processes that requires an inclination towards technology and new age tools, exploring the art of the possible while feeling at ease manipulating and working with large data sets, and ability to work with different big data and analytical tools.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data/information directly from clients (using excel based survey) as well as industry sources (public and third party) to update various data models on an annual basis
  • Assess market/industry trends as well as the competitive performance of firms operating in a particular market/channel/segment/product
  • Address client questions/queries using the data and content expertise
  • Preparing and delivering customized reports (through a digital platform and PowerPoints) to clients

Technical skills:
  • Strong command of MS Office suite, esp. PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Knowledge of FI industry databases like SNL, Bloomberg, Thomson, etc.
  • Working knowledge of BI tools, VBA, SQL/Databases, Alteryx, Python, DataIKU, Tableau, etc. will be a strong advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree with demonstrated high academic achievement, preferably in Business administration (with a focus on finance), quantitative sciences (e.g., mathematics, statistics, physics), economics, computer science, engineering or other data/analytical-centric disciplines. 
  • Knowledge/experience in the financial institution industry of 4 to 6 years is required. 
  • Specifically, strong understanding of the functions, product, services within Wealth Management and Retail Banking 
  • Understanding of Wealth Management third party data sources and experience working with them is an asset
  • Proven research and database capabilities – including but not limited to understanding, interacting, and delivering insights on financial statements.
  • Specific experience in market sizing or peer benchmarking, building simulation models of driver-based assessments, operating/developing diagnostic tools, etc., will be an added advantage.
  • A commercial mindset being able to spot opportunities for increasing value/insights to clients/case teams through existing capabilities or defining new offerings

  • BCG consulting teams and clients to discuss insights & offer ongoing access to data for consulting projects.
