Grid Automation is part of the Grid Solutions business and a leader in the protection, control, and automation of the world’s power grids. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate with customers of novel & transformational applications/analytics to drive innovation & differentiation.
- Demonstrated professional experience in developing and testing AI/ML algorithms; AND/OR demonstrated professional experience with different scenarios of grid/physics models in power system simulation tools, MATLAB/PSCAD; as well as dynamics PSS/E, Digsilent, and equivalent.
- Demonstrated professional experience with different scenarios of appropriate AI/ML models for energy/grid applications.
- Demonstrated professional experience with different scenarios of digital twin.
- Demonstrated professional experience with application development tools - Python/MATLAB
- develop of Intellectual property/IP clearance
- Demonstrated professional experience working on industrial products and domain expertise in Power industry space
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical/Power Engineering, MSc or PhD is preferred.
- R&D or Applications experience related to power system protection and automation.
- Experience with digital protection products
- Able to share ideas and work well in a team environment, proactive approach to tasks displaying initiative.
- Flexible and adaptable; open to change and modification of tasks, working in multi-tasking environment
Desired Characteristics:
- Strategist to build innovation roadmap alignment with customer requirements
- Able to influence international committee for standardization or regulation and in decision meeting with customers, partners or project developers.
- Expertise in Global Customer acceptance, requirements understanding, testing and demonstration of novel & transformational applications/analytics to drive innovation & differentiation
- Experience as a system architect, team lead, industry recognised subject matter expert
- Protection design or algorithm design experience in one or more applications such Transmission line differential, bus bar, Generator or transformer
- Purpose-fit application differentiations knowledge for Transmission, Distribution or Industrial segments
- Strong communication skills and a proactive and open approach to conflict resolution
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, and self-directed
- Knowledge of modern protection and control and distribution automation developments and trends
- Detailed knowledge of either GE Grid Automation P&C products or equivalent competition P&C products
- Demonstrated record in understanding or developing applications for the P&C market
- Familiarity with industry standards and documentation procedures of electrical utilities
