Role Description:
This role is part of Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis’ offices globally. The GEC brings key capabilities and capacity to support our clients seamlessly around the world. Responsibilities:
- You take ownership and guarantee the quality of the software
- You work closely with the product owner, other developers and testers
- As team lead you are actively involved with preparation of new stories, refinements, planning and design meetings
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
- You can work independently but also in pair-programming
- You develop in line with the clean code and clean architecture principles
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency within the team
- You are inclined to always help the tester

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of core Java concepts, design patterns, and best practices
- Leadership abilities, with a focus on driving results, motivating team members, and fostering a positive work environment
- Good competency in the Dutch language (Added advantage)
- Demonstrably a minimum of 12+ years experience programming in Java – preferably over several projects
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and frameworks
- Experience with several elements of our software stack: Java11+ (soon to be upgraded), Jenkins, Sonar, Kubernetes, Docker, Mongo, KeyCloak, OSGi and various Spring frameworks.
- Knowledge of web services (REST), bootstrap and github are a prerequisite
- Knowledge of the railway domain (prerequisite).
