- The Project Controls Organization’s (PCO) primary function is to partner with the Project Management Business to ensure we protect and enhance the bottom line. The PCO Organization will ensure all customer projects follow standard methodology and ensure all projects are setup correctly, reviewed and maintained to the Honeywell HBS standards in financial and project execution systems. PCO ensures data integrity by enforcing compliance to project management methodology, and project accounting requirements.
- The Senior Program Controls Supervisor will be responsible for complying to the systems, tools, and processes for effective PCO function for the assigned geography and LOB. The Senior Program Controls Supervisor will ensure program / project management processes are implemented effectively. He/ She will ensure standardize project analysis tools and reports are used for a portfolio of large, medium and small projects. Provide effective leadership to a team of 4 to 6 professionals.
- Deploy standard systems and processes for the project reviews and bring in consistency to ensure common project control processes are followed for all projects
- Leverage existing tools and systems to optimize the Project Control Processes
- Create and update project schedules/programmes in compliance with Global Project Management Office guidelines to allow for better planning and improved outcomes, whereby improving forecast fedility.
- Lead change management efforts as and when required
- Partner with the General Managers, Project Management Leaders, project managers, project coordinators, project admins and other functions to protect and enhance our bottom line [P&L]
- Deploy standard process and tools and measure effectiveness
- Establish regular project reviews as per guidelines, and make sure that the ERP and Project Execution systems are effectively used and updated with the most current project status.
- Develop & deploy predictive analysis to provide maximum time to General Managers, Project Management Leaders and Project Managers to work mitigation strategies to avoid risk and maximize opportunities.
- Reporting & creating the potential EACs, Change Order opportunities potentials, and exceptions to the business leaders and following up corrective actions
- Drive deployment & compliance of MOS with the project managers, operation leaders, and business leaders as required consistently
- Reporting deviations to the standard processes, evaluating change orders, and estimate at completion for all projects.
- Basic Commercial & Financial & Contracts know how
- Strong Project financials Management understanding, including but not limited to Cost Controls, POC, EAC, Budget, Forecasting, Contracts & Programming/Scheduling
- Finance Or Process Background with Project Ops exposure shall be a plus
- Coaching abilities / & strong professional communication
- 8+ years of experience including team Lead roles.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Masters/Degree in Business, Science or Engineering, Finance or Accounting, Construction or Project Management, or related field
- Experience as Business Analyst a plus
- Demonstrated leadership experience in coordinating and overseeing successful projects, conflict resolution.
- Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
- Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
- Proficient Microsoft Office package skills e.g. Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.
- Experience in financial data compilation, analysis and metrics management
- User experience of SAP system
- Project Management Certification a plus
- Sound Understanding of various solutions HON provides to its customers is a plus
