Job Summary:

As an Innomag Product Specialist, you will become an integral part of our factory outreach and customer experience team. You will partner with local Flowserve Sales, Commercial Operations, and Channel Partners in your assigned territory to provide technical, operational, and sales presentation support to help secure new opportunities and drive growth for the Innomag product line. You will earn a reputation as an exceptional problem solver and be sought after for your technical advice and operational assistance. You will become intimately familiar with what matters most to the end users of our products. You will become a subject matter expert on pumping systems and Innomag features and benefits. You will learn to tell the Innomag story and help champion the Sealless First movement. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of best practices. You will be the “voice of the customer” and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to consistently deliver on our commitments and create true surprise and delight for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Call on potential and existing customers within assigned territory in collaboration with local Flowserve commercial teams and Channel Partners

  • Develop target lists of potential accounts

  • Assist Product Management with market research and VOC to generate insight on new product development.

  • Provide application engineering to ensure proper sizing, compatibility, and overall fit for purpose

  • Assist regional commercial teams as needed with quoting particularly on opportunities that require special pricing, technical requirements, or fast turnaround

  • Provide technical support including on-site failure analysis, startup assistance, and general troubleshooting

  • Coordinate documentation, testing requirements, and inspections.

  • Assist with account management activities including contract pricing, dispute resolution, and relationship building

  • Provide market intelligence including customer profiling, analyzing proposal win/loss and pipeline conversion rates, developing a good sense for market level price, tracking competitor activity, and coordinating sales incentive programs

  • Ensure compliance to export regulations, product certifications (ATEX, CE, UL, FDA) and other programs and policies.

  • Organize training and promotional events.

  • Review and approve orders for release to Manufacturing and coordinate with production planning on non-standard specs and delivery times.

  • Coordinate with factory and local packaging center as needed to ensure flawless order execution

  • And any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Will have uncompromising integrity and always ensure full compliance to Flowserve's Code of Conduct, Integrity & Compliance policies, and export regulations (required)

  • Believes that a zero-incident work environment is possible, will adhere strictly to safe work practices and policies, will look out for the safety of their colleagues, and will join us in our relentless pursuit to mitigate risk (required)

  • Is an experienced sales professional who is intimately familiar with the local Chemical and General Industry end-markets including applications, decision makers, and the competitive landscape (required)

  • Will bring a strong combination of technical acumen and communication skills (required)

  • Takes pride in delivering an unparalleled customer experience (required)

  • Values face time with customers, enjoys working side by side with them on-site to solve problems and discover opportunities, and is willing to travel as much as 60-70% to make it possible (required)

  • Is a comfortable and effective public speaker in group settings large and small with the ability to adapt content and delivery to their specific audience (required)

  • Has 4-6 years of progressive commercial experience in fluid handling including 2-3 years of application engineering experience (required) and 2-3 years of sales experience (required) specifically with centrifugal pumps or other fluid handling equipment (required).

  • Has an Engineering degree (required)

  • Is a native speaker in the local language of their assigned territory with excellent written and verbal communication skills but also has business level proficiency in English (required)

  • Is a self-starter, independent, and highly motivated to win (required)

  • Is relentless and entrepreneurial - someone who will take immense pride and pleasure in acquiring customers and developing business largely from scratch in a relatively untapped market with a new product (required)
