GM Financial International Operations conducts business in Latin America and China. International Operations offers a wide range of wholesale and retail automotive financing products to dealers and their customers. The strength of the international business lies in its ability to tailor its products to meet unique dealer needs, consumer preferences and national requirements in local markets. Latin American country operations include Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.

The Sr. Quality Analyst is responsible for performing independent and unbiased monitoring and assessments of the company's credit activities. This team member will work closely with the Dealer segments by monitoring compliance and proactively addressing non-compliant areas in order to develop corrective action plans.

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, finance or in related field
  • Experience in automotive dealership commercial lending environment or audit and compliance.
  • Fluent english level.
  • Espanish Skills (desirable) 
  • Extensive knowledge of the Company's commercial lending policies and procedures .
  • Knowledge of the QC process desirable.
  • Proficient in process improvement and development practices .
  • Must understand the principles of commercial lending.
  • Knowledge of reporting and analytics.
  • Knowledge and understanding of automotive dealership, fleet/commercial and indirect auto finance industry operations required.
  • Knowledge of accounting, financial statement analysis, cash flow and commercial underwriting.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and improve work processes to ensure achievement of business objectives.
  • Competency with Microsoft office, focusing on Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions based on policies and procedures
  • Ability to multitask with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to use appropriate analysis, judgment and logic when solving issues.
  • Must be well organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to take ownership and follow through on assigned projects and tasks to completion.
  • Ability to coach, lead, motivate, and influence others to support departmental goals and objectives.
  • Ability to proactively achieve goals and objectives, which positively impact GM Financials overall Business results.
  • Ability to work discreetly with confidential information and situations.
  • Ability to provide recommendations and making decisions
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management
  • Perform quality monitoring of commercial lending processes within Commercial Lending Centers and Wholesale Operations by analyzing, summarizing, and monitoring compliance of credit policies and procedures.
  • Identify underwriting and funding weaknesses, address areas of non-compliance, and recommend change when necessary.
  • Assist in the development and support of models, analysis, and reporting related to the soundness of credit activities.
  • Analyze, summarize, and monitor compliance with credit policies.
  • Create reports for management with viable recommendations for improvement of business operations, efficiencies, and internal controls.
  • Coach, mentor, and assist fellow team members to establish a consistent level of quality, accuracy and compliance to departmental standards and internal controls.
  • Consult with management when needed and make recommendations on policy exceptions and control weaknesses to ensure that findings are correct.
  • Assist the Quality Control Manager with the distribution of incoming work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
