Role Summary:
The Application Engineer is part of the Commercial Operations team located in Brazil, assigned to support the workload of the Flowserve Aftermarket Sales and Commercial Operations team. In this role you will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and specialty applications, including: selecting seals and systems, answering technical questions, participating in technical review meetings and pre-order meetings.
Responsibilities:
Provide seals and systems quotations at market prices in response to RFQ's within the timeframe requested by the customer.
Interpret specifications and data sheets, including special warranties, delivery and payment terms requested by our customer.
Create/maintain product standardizations, including price lists based on Stamps.
Support the Sales Engineer to achieve booking targets by providing opportunities for the monthly forecasting process.
Interact with Kalamazoo, Dortmund, and Tlaxcala Manufacturing Hubs to facilitate special pricing requests and support customer backlog information.
Complete purchase order contract review to facilitate the booking process for the AM team and any other tasks as assigned
Immediately clarify with the customer any unclear or inaccurate information on the PO.
Achieve quality order entry in accordance with the latest Sales Approval Policy, ensuring EIS records for seals and ancillary product orders are entered cleanly within a clearly specified timeframe from receipt/release.
Effectively using the various tools, including but not limited to:FAEP, Customer Connect, EIS, CRM, autoSAP as a basis for supporting GTEC in creating qualitative quotations.- Visits to the customer site, meeting with the customer's AE and Procurement teams to build professional relationships.- Continue to increase professional skills and product knowledge for AM clients, both oil-based and general industry-based clients.- And any other duties as assignedRequirements:- Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience- Experience as an Applications Engineer or similar role, as an internal sales representative or engineer.
Knowledge of mechanical seals and their applications- Strong technical acumen and analytical thinking.- Knowledge of SAP Experience in dealing with common MS Office applications. - High level of computer proficiency

Must be self-taught, able to work with minimal supervision, and have the ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities
Preferable:
- Speaking English/Spanish will be a plus.
