About this Job 

As a division of NIQ, the BASES is a market leader in consulting for marketers of new products.  Major manufacturers rely on us to evaluate their new product ideas, accurately predict sales and increase the brand’s potential by helping marketers make decisions at critical stages of the new product development process. We conduct studies on over 10,000 new product ideas per year. We offer a highly stimulating, challenging, yet casual work atmosphere.   

We are looking for a Sr Innovation Analyst to join our BASES Line & Price Team. In this position you will help develop the NielsenIQ Innovation Practice business by executing marketing research studies for our clients.  You will be responsible for compiling, analyzing and interpreting marketing research data, writing client reports and constructing client presentations with a high degree of independence. You will generate highly polished analyses, summarizing conclusions and recommendations in a precise, client friendly manner and will support the Line & Price team in driving revenue by delivering excellent project work that will result in repeat business with our clients.   

While we seek candidates with proven analytical skills, we provide extensive training to give our Analysts the subject matter expertise to function effectively in our business.  This includes training regarding choice-based research methods, designing and analyzing market research, and delivering high impact consultative presentations to our clients! 

Responsibilities 

  • Ownership of end-to-end execution (creation through finalization of inputs and deliverables) 
  • Knows Line & Price (L&P) study processes and initiates steps without prompting, independently and correctly utilizing BASES L&P Tools 
  • Ensures internal and external deadlines are met, collaborating effectively with Ops team members, Statisticians, etc. 
  • Identifies questions/issues and proactively seeks solutions, effectively using resources 
  • Writes consultative report drafts using study data and client objectives 
  • Attends client meetings and presentations, providing appropriate support materials 
  • Is able to give presentations internally and externally, developing understanding of connection between scoping, study designs, and client needs 
  • Effectively leverages support functions, adopting and efficiently executing the processes in place  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Solid Experience in Business Intelligence / Market Analysis
  • Strong Analytical and Communication skills 
  • Advanced English 
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Accountability and initiative 
  • Intellectual curiosity 
  • Self-starter with proactive mindset
